  • FIRST CLASS!!!!

  • 1 person did not panic.

  • Still love this band after all these years.. Cheers

  • OMG, was it really that long ago? Excellent song excellent band. I think they were from Boston MASS

  • love this song! beats the crap out of most of the stuff being produced today.

  • This guitar mood in this song is so perfect. The "feel' of this song really is just so pure.

    But:

    A) I don't like their left wing politics

    B) I don't like their clothes and sense of style post 1996

    C) I never liked their punk rock influenced bass player at all

    D) I like the drummer's feel and sound

    E) I do love Mary's singing, at 2:00 she really sounds great holding that "ohhhhn"

    F) Cote, had a cool sense of style 1994, then it changed for the WORSE.

    G) This song made my summer 1994

  • I love Madder Rose, thanks for posting this! Now does anyone know what the name of this song is, it was in 1994 and I heard it on the radio a couple of times and was sure it was Madder Rose, the lyrics are something like: "there's a sign that says come in, please take everthing you see, everythings for free". Can anyone help?? ;)

does suck - that bring it down album has been a big part of my musical life since '93/'94 "Bring It Down" "Sugar Sweet" "Beautiful John" -- great great stuff - MR should have blown up bigger

  • Looks like I found another soon to be favorite band. I love bands from the 90s and Madder Rose was one I've never heard of until now. I'm definitely going to check out more music from them. Long live 90s alternative. And awesome upload.

  • I had their first album, played it to death and then my girlfriend stole it when we broke up, very sad.

  • very sad dude!

  • Rick...

That's a shame and I agree that Warner Music sucks, simply because your fans love the music, and you gave us the opportunity to see, hear, and appreciate it...Well, they cannot take out CDs away, thank God~~Sorry to hear about this.

  • What happened to the "Beautiful John" video? There is not enough Madder Rose's brilliant music for me~~

  • We opened for them at the old 9:30 club in D.C.

    so good

  • Met tyehm once. Very cool. Rock on Jonny Kick.

  • Man I love madder rose, I still listen to them

reminds me of my college days. I have seen them 6 times. All in NYC and Boston. My sister loves them as well.

  • dreamy number

  • love these guys alot saw them with buffalo tom in providence r.i. years ago great show

  • this music is a part of my youth. thanks for posting. :)

  • I've heard this song on a local radio back in college and I've been looking for it. I even thought that the band's name is "Manny Rose and Pentecon". I couldn't search them in the net. Some weeks before, the same radio station played it again and took courage to ask from him. It just happens that DJs says "...Madder Rose and Panic On..." and not what I knew the name to be. Thanks to that DJ. I hardly knew this band.

  • spent six years in school together with this beautiful songbird as kids ~ great memories!

  • They opened for THE SUNDAYS in Dallas in '92/'93 - I enjoyed them very much, and am a continuing fan of Mary Lorson's solo work.

  • Such a great, great band. I remember seeing them with Buffalo Tom at The Whiskey back in 90 something, my memory blurs with age ;-) Good times. Great album too. Thanks for posting, I haven't seen this in ages.

  • amazing!! amazing!

  • This song makes me so nostalgic...beautiful and underated band

  • An underrated band from the 90's. I thought one of the better groups of the 90's "alternative" era. Could never real get into the post Madder Rose stuff Mary and Billy did. Thanx alot for posting the video. Greatly appreciated.

  • Cool.

  • thanks! i've been looking for so long for this video! i love this song, never tires listening to it!
