Also, other than the Humvee, there is no other GM-made Hummer that has lasted as long as a Jeep. Would you like to know why? Because the H2 is only 6 years old, the H1 is 17 years old. Also, it's OBVIOUS that the H2 can't handle with, per say, a Wrangler. Have you considered weight? It's an important thing to consider for rock crawling and COLLISIONS.

They're useless, and I can't prove otherwise? Can you say United States Military? Jeeps are incredibly light weight, thus are perfect for rock crawling and mudding. Hummers (primarily the H1) are wider, much more stout, with greater suspension travel which is great for trailing high speeds and safety vehicles. Also, I've never seen a Hummer or Jeep that had to be worked off the lot any sooner than 3 years. One of my neighbors has a 13 year old Humvee, and it runs just fine.

...? Are you serious?? A Humvee is a Hummer! Hummer is the trademark name for GM (originally AMC) that designs and manufactures (or used to) the Humvee or H1, the H2, H2T, H3, and the H3T. The only reason GM changed the name denoting the first Hummer as the H1 instead of just "HUMMER" is because of the release of the H2, so when people mention HUMMER, they can identify each.

AM GENERAL made the HMMV which was (is) the military vehicle everyone knows. They began to sell a civilian model sometime in the early 90's, the date escapes me, as the Hummer. After the line was sold to GM they changed it to H1 so they could differentiate it from their related in name only bastardized versions of it, IE H2, H3, etc.

I have seen with my own eyes a million h2s break and/or get stuck and 2 h1s get pulled out by jeeps. As I have also seen jeeps break and get stuck and have to be pulled out. The more common of the sights is jeeps pulling H2s out of the mud, off of rocks and other situations.
