Better than Crosby's version. The Molly Oliver band was world class. I also use to go and see Everyday People playing in St Pat's High. Another band that should have made it.
@1chichimec1 haha yahh in 1958 they would still be being tucked into bed like myself, but I had their first records like dear mr pride etc etc in early 70s
Nova Scotia? wtf ... never heard of them until i came across this ... i'm in TO. What happened .. not good enuff to be played here? Love the harmony and how everything is produced.
The wonders of Youtube, finding this song is like finding some treasure.I can remember buying this album as a teenager and really liking it.Great vocals and musicianship.Definetely one of the most talented bands ever to come out of Nova Scotia.Bands like Molly Oliver,Oakley,Mad Hash,Titan,Dutch Mason,Buddy and Boys and Matt Minglewood.Folks, these are the times I miss. Thanks for posting rockinbruce, great job on "Carry On".
that lead guitar starting at 2:39 and through to the end rocks jung leuy... quality studio recording, vocals are awesome.. far out man tee soot.. sawad dee ja
"Molly Oliver" band featuring Bruce Wheaton (Lead Guitar & Vocal - Falsetto), Larry Maillet (Rhythm guitar & Vocal), Mike Leggat ( Keyboards & Vocal), Carson Richards (Bass) & Ken (Dutch) Schutlz - Drums. It has been said - "Molly Oliver was without a doubt one of the finest vocal bands ever to come out of Nova Scotia!" - John Alphonse president of the "Atlantic Federation of Musicians" - August 23/ 1999.

Wow! So hard to believe that they actually played for our Jr. Sr. Prom in 19 58!

@1chichimec1 I don't think the year was 1958, ha ha, the band wasn't formed until 1974...

Stephen Stills would be proud- this actually sounds like it belongs in the 70's!
