It was trying to make the kids I was babysitting laugh during the movie. They got freaked out when they saw autobots die (it suprised me but that was about it).
indeed i am glad you enjoyed you clip, you should pick up the animated movie if you haven't already, a great movie imo one of the best animated movies of all time...
i suppose he just wasn't able to, he was in a 'kill megatron' mindset, which probaly clouded his judgement, and with the all the autobot losses, he may have been too effected and couldn't fight as well as he could have before this battle... besides this was scripted to happen, the people who made this movie wanted to kill off a majority of the g1 line, and introduce, what i consider as the g2 line, they had no idea killing prime, and the others would have such a huge backlash....

he was only able to 'fly' for a short time cause of the jets that propelled him into the air, for possibly the coolest transformation scene in history as he offed 4 transformers and then headed for megatron, thanks for the comment
if i was hotrod, i would've shot at megatron to get his attention, or just left them alone to take care of the fight of the century, thanks for commenting though
the 20th anniversary version had some ads from the 80's and a fan commentaried episode of 'scramble city' a precouser to TFTM giving some story, other than that, it's pretty much the same extras from other dvds (IIRC)
i really have no interest in the new movie, it's not the same characters i have grown up with, so it matters not to me, my friends are probally going drag me off to it, but i am not spending money on that movie, they can :-P

When I was a little kid witnessing Prime's death for the first time, I was heartbroken! I was extremely annoyed by how most of the original Autobots died and were replaced by newbies like Hot Rod (total retardicon if you ask me). I loved how Megatron returned as Galvatron and blew Starscream to bits though, best scene ever!
I Love It How He Takes Out All Those Decepticons. How on earth did none of them die, unlike the Autobots at the begining. Would being short on energon have something to do with it? Damn Hot Rod, never forgave him after that.
