Sounds like a relative of Cheryl has made a comment here a few months back.. There are those who feel the flag represents the guidelines and rights our forefathers agreed to when our government was formed. Anyone who believes in those rights should be able to fly the flag anywhere they want to,be they students,teachers, or any other citizen.

hey,if our elected officials can lie,why can't Cheryl?. Our rights are being stepped on all the time ,and now a school board want to do the same. Insane. What rock are those board members hiding under. Maybe Obama will appoint Cheryl to a high government position huh.

Accountable Representation includes all elected representatives that have been voted into office. That includes "Cheryl Oprisko".

You clearly know nothing about what we stand for. We don't endorse either party. Both parties are bad but I don't want the democrats running the Country into the ground. I think things work best when both parties can check each other. I think THE REPUBLIC runs best when no one party has complete power.

The irony is that the underlying grievances and fears that fuel the Tea Party movement are actually quite real and DO need to be addressed......but if you look at the situation objectively, you'll find that the establishments of BOTH parties are shafting all of us!

By allowing yourselves to be used as a tool of the Republican party and of big business/corporate interests (who WANT to be totally unregulated so they can continue to screw you/all of us) you serve your oppressors.

Not that I have to answer to your questioning my honesty, but there was a link on facebook to a well produced propaganda ad which I followed here and then perused your site.

As for your claim that the issue, at this point, is no longer the about the JROTC officially posting the colors (I guess you've conceded that one?) but about alleged lies told in re Ms Jones.....I suggest that you consult with legal counsel. And if you have a case, to pursue it in court.

I believe that such a debate would be a good one for your community to have.

The REAL/underlying issue is that you and your people wanted the JROTC to do do something that was/is counter to bational ROTC policy and counter to he spirit of our democratically instituted constitutional republican form of government.

It's wrong for ROTC or the school to endorse partisan politics. Period!!!!

nilent: Listen @ 3:31 (and the comments in their entirety made by Ms. Jones before you make your comments in order to do so in an informed manner. "DO NOT BE CONFUSED, this is not about the JROTC not posting the colors at our Tea Party..."

It is about the slanderous comments Mrs. Oprisko made about this group, the NWIP's. Ms. Jones has the right and personal obligation to defend her group and her reputation against such derogatory speech made in a public record forum.

I do not wish to live in an America in which the military is allowed to back any particular political party or political agenda. We went to war against a nation that tried that and we won that war. Let's please not fight it again within our own borders.

The "major of the cadets" should never have approved of the request...and the request should never have been made.

Thanks to NWIP for putting up these three videos. I would never have heard about this issue if you didn't do that.

ROTC is a military program, and it is directly affiliated with your public school. Allowing them to post the colors at a partisan political event implies that the military and the school are endorsing a particular political agenda. That is not the American way.

The students/anyone may attend and post colors, that's free speech.

Oprisko was legally correct to object.

@nilent Curious, nilent. Help me out. How did you search/locate these particular videos, when you werent' aware of the issue? They were put up only hours prior to your initial post. Curious as to how you stumbled across an issue that you felt compelled to comment on.
