I should offer more clarity in this. The structure of the sicilian mafia with its direction and crede make it far easier to implement than something like the camorra. remember-gangs in the us were there even before the italians got there, but it was the cosa nostra structure that essentially dominated the jewish and irish gangs. That structure is far more in cosa nostra than the camorra. But, per saviano, the lack of definite structure is an advantage to the camorra.
