If you compare cycling and other sports, you can see that cycling is more demanding. Its like everyday job, like other people. Not like football, when you can train for 3-4 hours a day and then go to party. I think cycling should be more payable sport, than it is now!

Lance's test results have shown his hematocrit actually increasing during the Tour which is the complete opposite of what is naturally supposed to happen. For example, if you begin the Tour with a hematocrit of say 41% it will naturally be reduced to about 37-38% by the end. In the case of Lance his values actually go from 41% to over 43% which indicate blood doping. The human body simple doesn’t work this way naturally.

Lance's natural hematocrit is ~41% which is on the low side of normal (39-49). He can’t compete against other riders with natural hematocrit levels much higher than his without blood doping. And yes hematocrit has a massive influence on endurance performance. All of a sudden an average rider turns world champion type advantage. Lance’s blood values have indicated his been using blood transfusions.

The reporter is right; Lance DOPEstrong is the cancer of cycling. He would have never won the tour without doping. There are mountains of evidence suggesting his guilt. He should be required to relinquish all of his money and property and sent to prison for being a fraud. It’s really sad that so many thought of him as some kind of hero only to find out that he’s one big lie.

I knew it was gonna be extremely hard for Ullrich to win the tour that day. Not just because of the rain, but because Armstrong wasn't gonna lose it easy. I was convinced that he was at least gonna win the stage and cap a remarkable tour! I believe that the stage to Alpe D'Huez did him in. He was sick during the stage and the pace the first couple k's was ferocious.

I don't know if the video is speeded up or what but it seems like Jan was pedaling faster then his style and he looked definitely nervous in the early going, not so calm on the bike we were used to seeing him.Too bad for the crash he would have won this TT also.

After 12,5 kilometers they were equal. At 32,5 kilometers, Ullrich was 2 seconds faster.

But if you are able to win 2 seconds in 33 kilometers, how will you win still over 60 seconds in 15 kilometers?

I think Jan had won the TT by 10-15 seconds, and Lance keep the yersey at 45-50 seconds before Jan.

The route in the opposite direction with the wind blowing aginst the riders would have made a legendary stage with massive differences in time. But like in Luz Ardiden with the fog and therefore much lower degrees in air temperature the weather god wasn't in favor of Ullrich.
