I used to have the same telivision, it was a good tv, WAS!....... well...until it died from a bad flyback transformer, It wasnt available so I stole the speaker and some other parts and said my fair-wells to it in the form of "big rock hitting tube" language! lol

TV tubes have a vacuum in them. That is, a big space full of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Not even air. However, that dust you see is quite toxic. Older tubes have phosphors made of cadmium, which is a known carcinogen.

It hit the top of the screen wich is less breakable than the middle of it... It's like breaking a wood piece... will you break it on the tip or in the middle?

Well, that's true, but I think the reason here is that it happened to hit the frame of the TV (the cabinet) and mostly or completely missed the glass, otherwise it probably would have broken the CRT. I threw it very hard. The "whoosh" you hear was not a sound effect added in, it was the real sound of it being thrown with psychotic force. I really like the sound it made.....yes, I do.
