They were actually much better after Frankie and Wilber left. For many years they made some great music. Rockpile was the ideal lead singer - he had the best voice ever.
I like this Lou Christie tune since the inception of the K-Tel album Jukebox Jive in 1973 and I still love it! This one gives totally a new breathe to this classic tune... Simply A W E S O M E!
@MsLindaharris : OH YEAH .. right-on, friend. I endorse your request 110%. That Ol 55 Number - "THIS LITTLE GIRL" was & always will be my No.1 all-time fave by the band -- outstripped all of their other work .. and that is by no means intended to be any remote kinda put-down of the excellence of their various other hits. Good on you. Take Care !
Patrick on Guitar and Rockpile are the only 2 original members left..the other gutarist was Patricks younger brother, Bass Player was Terry Belliew. The drummer at the time was Geoff Cripps, unsure if that's him on this clip though..Always a great act, regardless of lineup, probably one of Australia's best, and very very underrated.
I would rate Rockpile right up there with the likes of Shirl, Barnsey, Hutchenece & Farnham...a very-very underrated vocalist. Thanks for posting, gr8 song, gr8 band and gr8 clip.
Well, Lou Christie is my all-time fave, and of course I think he does this song the best, BUT!!----these guys are good.....and such a cute idea. TY for the post.
Hoges - brilliant. 200? we went to shoppingtown hotel to see 'old skydaddys'.......waiting.....wilbure went to hotel up donny road....was way late. i remember his article on cars....1985 white ford fairlane.....totally brill!
these guy are brilliant, rockpile will always be the Stayer and the magic behind OL55 all these years later. he still plays arround the joint in Sydney i think, saw him a few years ago at a club, good stuff........
I have the original version by Lou Christie and I like this version just as much. Some may argue that this isn't as good as the Lou Christie version but this video is very clever and entertaining. These guys are good!
This song brings back so many memories for me. Does anyone know if you can get the O'l 55 Two Faces Have I Album on CD?? I've looked everywhere for it.
I agree with everyone there is no talent anymore it is all crap...I remember dancing this at one of the local pubs in Perth and man it was much fun. Rockpile has just one of those voices like Frankie Valli. Bring it all back and thank you for posting this on here brings back good feelings....
Yes,Rockpile Jones on lead vocals with his cousins Pat & Bob Drummond (guitars) at left and Terry Bellew on bass with Doug Martin on drums although Geoff Plummer actually did the drumming on the recording.

@rightwally Both had left the band by this stage; only a couple (I think) of original members were left at this point.
