  • To fix hot pixels your just need to upgrade your firmware of your d7000 ;)

  • @KarlCOSSE I just did and the blue fella still lives...

  • This happened to me but i found a FIX!! Turn the d7000 on and off 10 times, waiting 5 seconds in between every time. I freaked out when i saw this, but after much digging around, this worked for me.

  • I counted 4 but I wouldn't have noticed it if the title didn't say "hot pixels"

  • sad pixel hunters

  • Right side of the watch people.. by now you should know that you need to play back in HD to see the dead pixels.. aaarrg!

This is sad... almost every DSLR, any brand, has the same problem.. only at hi ISO you get this problem.. Still its a rip-off from them... proof that they are just mass producing without a good quality control.. Just trying to cash in on every holiday, every 6 month upgrading models.... T3i, T2i, 5D, 7D, D7000, Fuji, etc.. same hot pixel problem.

  • where I cant see squat and if you are having to tell people where to look its insignificant

  • @trackend watch it in 1080p

  • To get rid of hot pixels download Nikon D7000 Firmware update 1.01

    It helpd me )))

  • only found 1 hot pixel. but you usaly test hot pixels in complete darkness

  • I see them... your not the only one with hot pixels. But i think it will be fixed in notime. First cameras are always fresh with some defects. BTW company tells that its normal to have 3-5 hot pixels.

  • Wow, you better quickly pack that up and return it to the store-looks like a defective heisenberg compensator! lol

Dude, I did not see one hot pixel. I watched it 5 times in 1080p. So I have to say, who cares? Video looks great to me.

  • @markd514 Maybe it's your vision? I spotted all 3 rather quickly, but then again I have great vision.. :-p

  • This vid has got MUCH bigger problems than a hot pixel (which I don't see even at full screen): it is underexposed, and the AF can't even keep up on this static subject. Were you using Manual, and if so what ISO? If you want to film, get a camcorder.

  • Clearly defect with the CMOS. Firmware no way.

  • will a remap fix that?

  • My hot pixel (1) vanishes when set to manual mode.

  • seems like everyones holding out on the D7000 for now and waiting for the 2nd batch of productions. One guy had up to 15 hot pixels lol, Sometimes i wonder if the Quality check employees at nikon are even doing their job.

  • @krayz541 When is the "second" batch coming out? :( Damn, I wanted one of these...

  • Comment removed

  • @krayz541 So is the problem supposed to be fixed with the second batch?

  • @AprylRed I'm not really sure, but since this has been a big problem. It's something that nikon should look into. But even now...people are still getting some with hot pixels. It only affects the video fuction though, not so with the still photos.

  • @krayz541 Well,I wanted one of the Ne Nikons for the HD function. :( I guess I'll wait and see if the problem gets resolved in the next batch. Can you tell me if you heard anything? :)

  • @AprylRed Well i just got mine yesterday...and i have 14 hot pixels ;( Terrrible! Definitely returning it

  • @AprylRed D7000 Firmware is in progress according to nikon website :D woohoo!

  • @krayz541 YAY! Wonder how long that will take to work out! :)
