Great song, I live in Canada and fell for the popular media b@#llsh&t about the IRA. Been investigating for myself for 5 years now. I have started to educate family, friends and neighbours as to the struggle and why. My great great grandfather came from Castlebar co. Mayo in 1842 and I dearly want to go there. The world is envious of the Isle, it's beauty and natural resources. It is not a religious war, it is an ongoing theft by the brits in power.

The O'Hanlon clan were also from Monaghan originally too.We probably had dealings with them. As well as the Maguire's,the O'Niells,and the O'Reilly clan.Anyway I love the song and I wish I to return to Ulster before I die.The McMahon's were driven out by the English because they refused to accept English rule.But they put up one hell of a fight before they lost their lands.
