I was given the opportunity to see the SFB "Nutcracker" some years ago and came away impressed with the majesty of the show but didn't give much thought to ballet beyond that. It was later that circumstances brought me to be near ballet dance studios which I would watch the dancers practice/rehearse periodically. It was then I began to realize the amazing shape and athleticism of the dancers..... but it was watching them dance en pointe so "naturally" that made me appreciate ballet.

Well, actually, she does look petite and tiny, which means she IS short(not said in a bad way though). If she would be this thin and taller, she would look way too skinny and her entire constitution would look different. However she looks taller because she's slender, thin. It's simple - bodies wich are slender and slim look more petite while long and thin bodies look just...Slim.

On the other hand, it really doesn't matter how tall or short she is, she's beautiful and graceful.
