When he's initially loaded into Arcee's head, he's not wearing an exosuit, and when they face off against Cyclonus (etc) the first time and he says "two heads are better than one, Cyclownus", her head transforms into his exosuit. Which would also be consistent with the other Headmaster partners. Showing him wearing an exosuit inside her head in this one scene is an animation error.

From Hot Rod to Springer and now to Daniel. I heard she dance with one of the Headmasters in the Headmasters anime. She does go around alot. Seriously, I think the writers forgot that Hot Rod is Arcee's love interest between the movie and S3.
