@esinam81 I own four reds, ruby woo, diva, Russian red by Mac, and makeup forever #45. Mufe 45 is the truest blue based red that I have come across. It is absolutely gorgeous! I'm nw50 for reference. I hope you can find it in Sweden, otherwise I would just order it online. You will not be disappointed.

i thought i was the only one who thought russian red was yellow based..it comes off more yellow (more like an orange lipstick on my NC45 complexion)....i wanted a blue based red so i was very upset when i got home and realised the girl at the mac counter gave me the wrong lippie....have to keep looking i guess (cos im in Sweden at the moment i cant try most of the blue based ones u mentioned) maybe ill try ruby woo

Definitely the BEST red lipstick video I have seen on YouTube. Despite our different complexions, I felt that you gave the most accurate description and demonstration of true reds. I think Ruby Woo is my favorite, sisterhood of the traveling lipstick --that color looks good on everyone!

Being new in makeup I'm finding it hard to differentiate a blue from a yellow based...especially in the packaging (when Im not able to swatch). Is there a way I can tell if it's blue based or yellow based while in the packaging? If Im looking for blue based should I just be gravitating toward deeper reds?

Unless it looks different in true light, I think the Brave Red looked very good on you. I am of a similar complexion to you. I think I will be looking out for the Moulin Rouge - I tend to wear nudes, but I will try a red just to change things around from time to time. Additionally, my lips are more pigmented than yours and not as full. All in all they all suited you. Perhaps Russian red my least favourite. Thanks for the tutorial. I loved it. Will favourite!

I just purchased Ruby Woo for the first time at MAC 3 weeks ago, and I cannot stop wearing it. I luv it and wear it with current. You are so right, when I had on the Russian Red lipstick, it sure looked yellow based even though described as blue-based. I am glad it was not just me. However I wear the Russian Red, lipglass and it is pretty and "true blue" All the reds look nice on you. Thanks for the new reds too.

I bought Currant lip liner when you used it with Viva Glam Gaga...I see it's your fave...I wore Heartless the other day w/o a liner and I wasn't too happy about it...I didn't think to use a lip liner with it let alone Currant since it's not a red lip liner. I agree, despite what some may think, everyone can wear red, it’s just a matter of finding the right shade 4 your skin tone. I'm a huge fan of red lipsticks. I prefer the blue reds also. I have MUFE #205 N the Ruby Woo. 2 me Ruby Woo is a true blue red with a touch of pink. Just by accident because it like the color I purchased the Wet N' Wild's Mega Last Lip color #911D (Spotlight Red), it is blue base. In my opinion it is a good dupe 4 Mac Ruby Woo. Is that lip pencil (currant) by MAC?
