ich selber stamme aus der türkei und muss sagen, schöner kann ein lied kaum sein. vaterland, stolz eines mannes, kriegskameraden denen man näher war als seiner eigenen familie, alles wird gesungen . das lied ist gar nicht nationalistisch oder gar rassistisch. es wird aus der seele gesungen.

I'm sorry, but I believe Russia has acted pretty superior lately. I mean, minorities do not really stand a chance, let's just take the situation of the chechens for example and the Georgian war that wasn't such a long time ago... This song was written in the 1800's = not nazi related. In Germany they still play this song on remembrance day for veterans. If it was nazi related it would not be allowed to be played in public. I believe that Germany is now the most anti-nazi country in the world.

These are soldiers of the 13th SS Mountain Division 'Handschar', look at the collar tabs they are wearing. They were mostly made up out of Bosnian muslims and were used to fight partisans in 1944.

Dieses Lied spiegelt die "echte" Kameradschaft wieder!
Das ist das was wir Deutschen nach dem Krieg verloren haben. Und das ist das was uns heute fehlt! "Kameradschaft" Jeder schaut mal nach dem anderen, hilft in Not, ohne etwas dafür zu verlangen, mit dem Herzen ein Freund sein, zuhören wenn andere etwas sagen ohne gleich das schlechteste von ihm zu denken, helfen und nicht lachen, verspotten ohne zu wissen "warum"!

Mein Großvater war selber bei der Wehrmacht und mit 17 im Krieg... Sein Kammerad wurde von eiem Scharfschützen in den Kopf getroffen!
Generationen vergessen was gewesen ist, vergessen Leid und schmerz!
Doch ich schwöre ich werde niemals vergessen was passiert ist und weiterhin hinter meinem Großvater und meinem Land stehen!
