WMG can claim copyrights on songs that are on a Warner Brothers Produced Movie Soundtrack, even if they don't own the band. Other people don't realize their videos aren't blocked and just assume they are. UMG just puts an Ad on your video. But, it shows up as "Copyrighted" and "Video blocked in some countries", even if it isn't.

AND they are very picky with songs. For example, my "The Escapist" Nightwish song is blocked/muted, however, my "Come Cover Me" Nightwish Collab is shown with an Ad and not muted. Same with Linkin Park. My :Faint" AMV was muted but my "My December" one wasn't. It's screwy. =/

Rambling is fine, especially on this subject.

My videos were all taken down right off the bat. No muting at all. The reason why was because of audio content. I've tried uploading a few, but some are muted (like NCB) while some were completely blocked (By Myself).

Ya, I noticed they're picky too. Almost all of my Nightwish videos were taken down, but they decided to spare my one to Bless The Child (they knew it existed, but they didn't take it down). Wow, your situation is really weird 0-0.

I think the videos were all taken down back in the WMG vs YouTube months. I should have specified. I meant NOW, not back then. Back then, everyone got hit. Some worse then others. x_x;

There's a very big difference between "Taken down" and "Muted". WMG generally mutes videos. They don't really take them down anymore. The only ones that will be taken down is if you have an opening to a show (which is audiovisual copyright) or if someone flags your video. And, unfortunately, anyone can flag your video. Only the person who has a video taken down could tell you why. "Copyright infringement" generally means someone flagged your video. Otherwise, it'll tell you EXACTLY who did.

Maybe not all due to WMG, but I know a majority of them were from them
