Is drifting faster than simply powering through corners without drifting?

@panchodelrancho0331 nope. on a track/street it's best to maintain as much traction as you can and take the corner at the highest possible speed (that is if your racing). drifting (where the driver intentionally oversteers causing loss in traction at the rear wheels) is a sport and drivers are judged according to speed/angle/line taken through the corner... basically saying it's pointless unless your being competitive about it.. or you live in japan where it's insanely fun lol

@TxS2006 The old guy fishing in the movie is Keiichi tsuchiya, he is the worlds DRIFT KING, he is also the highly talented man that did alot of drifting in the movie, and oversaw every stunt. the stunt being reproduced here was done by Rhys millen,one of the leading drifters in the world.

-a nissan 300zx (i like the car, not so much the mods, however..) prepared to drift like if its normal for a car to drift.

- the gap between the car and the wall could be smaller.

-its low speed drift, its all about throttle control, and burn rubber as shit.
