@IGrimmy Lol. On campus, the chances are very low. I always feel very safe when I'm on campus, whether it's noon or midnight. Just north of campus (The Fort) and the strip (Cumberland Ave.) have... Somewhat higher chances. The strip is safe for the most part, but the fort can be pretty crazy. Just don't go into the fort after like midnight unless you have to lol.
@TennVol92 No way! There are a few other people from Boxwell here too, the only one I can think of that you may know is Rachel, from the pool. Small world!
I noticed that there's a fridge and microwave. but what appliances should I bring? TV? and is there a location I can put some valuables such as a safe? also are there any other recommendations as to what I should bring too?
@xprssocr14 I would definitely suggest bringing a TV, and if you know your roommate or manage to get his number/facebook/etc. talk to him about the TV and stuff. You don't both want to show up with huge TV's, or even worse, you don't both want to show up with no TV, expecting the other to bring it. And there's not a safe or anything like that, you'll just have to trust your roommate and hide it in your closet or something. The room comes with lamps but I can't think of any other appliances.Soap!
@xprssocr14 You should also bring a cord to hook your TV into the wall so you can get a reception. It's a little twisty cord, and it should be prettty long. And if you're planning on bringing an Xbox/PS3 you should bring an ethernet cable, because although the whole dorm is wireless, playing video games can be SUPER laggy at times--using a cord fixes that. Also, don't bring toilet paper. They supply that. I made that mistake.
