UMX Beast down the park

I have a couple other micro flyers- been looking to upgrade to micro 3D...I like this one, think I'll give it a try!

I just picked one up yesterday & am totally dissatisfied ! Unless I received a faulty model , this model is grossly underpowered. Not to mention anything over a 5 mph wind gust is a NO GO! I am AMA certified & consider myself an expert level pilot. I am sorry but this model is not all it's cracked up to be. When I decide to drill this model into the dirt I will use it's power unit for a lighter 3D balsa profile. Thanks for nothing E-flight!

@sbs9026 no problem what so ever, my flybaby can do it. The problem with all these fantastic little planes is that you can spend the entire year waiting for a breezless day. frustrating.

I've seen the umx beast fly in very hign winds very nicely. Other UMX planes may not handle the wind well, but man this thing does.

@GeneticallySuperior1 If you get 1 you will want to get 2 just becouse they are soooooooooo bad ass. I know almost $200 bucks may seem like a lot, but this is no regular parkzone micro. You will want to even give one as like a fathersday gift. It will be so much fun that after your first flight not only will you want to get the 100cc version you will want it autographed by Quique Somenzini himself. Also try the micro UMX Extra 300. I dare say it's almost even more fun ( ;

Just seen one of these in my local shop, it's on my Xmas gift to myself list! Took a few knock's but look's pretty tough? Any downside's?

@damiana9015 Its great fun! :) only downside is its a little tricky to fly, probably not the best for a beginner is all.

This plane looks really fun, but does anyone know how it does in the wind? I'm assuming it get's carried away pretty easily beings it's electric.

@badgolf1 Its a little box that plugs into my futaba transmitter and lets be bind to spektrum receivers, all the ultra micros use spektrum.

Have you since or prior tried Landing it on anything other than grass? Will it land nicely with the landing gear? On like a road or parking lot let's say?

@vonarndt111 Nah my spektrum module died and I still havent replaced it. Id say it could be landed on a road no problems tho.

@MIRCWOOD On my futaba 9c you can set the trainer switch up to deflect all the surfaces when you touch it, "snaproll" in the adv menu :)

and boys...a 'radio check' is something that GOOD pilots perform before the first flight of the day....but to most of us it just wastes time...LOL !!!
