  • well......did the prop hit? did you have to get the engine torn apart? did that 20k you just spent fixing your engine impress your buddies? be smart

  • aren't those plane suppose to have skis or skids to land on those ice? a wheel is to slippery.

  • I think thats just slushy water on top of the ice. Theres ice beneath that soft stuff on top, I'd say

  • You would like too see that !!!!

  • i was hoping wen he got out that he trod on the weakest bit ever in the world and went straight under ... faster than u can say aaaaarrghhhhhhhhhhh....

  • wish there was a part 2.

  • He has not gone through the ice, all that happened is he went through a patch of snow, look at his feet when he gets out of the plane, the snow goes upto his ankles. If that were thin ice his feet would have sunk a lot further.

  • What a nipple head the plane is about to go through the Ice and he stands there like a little horse tit.

  • Nice prop strike.

  • stand there like "uhm .. what am i gonna do now"

  • That sucks

  • Thats where you start lookin at costly engine repairs, you got off lucky that time.

  • At least Rotax or Jabiru parts are cheaper than Lycoming or Continental parts...plus, you don't absolutely need an A&P (or to be one) to work on it. The beauty of the LSA!

  • Next time I'm flying out over the Sea of Cortez I'll think about how happy I am with my Lycoming that does *not* say "caution, subject to sudden stoppage" as Rotax does. They still have that 200 hour TBO?

  • Funny, I see guys coming in and out of my dad's shop just like you, coasting up in a new Corvette and begging for one of two things: someone to sign off their engine logbooks when someone else does their engine or 50% off an overhaul with yellow-tag parts they bring in. Do yourself a favour: next time, fly United...oh, and fly on the airline, too, while you're at it. Ma vaffanculo.

  • United doesn't fly where I fly. BTW: They use certified engines too. No Rotax in the United fleet.

  • No internal combustion engines either.

  • Rotax makes certified engines, installed in certified aircraft. You are about 15 years behind the times.

  • Mr Pilot...don't land on ice anymore...

  • Actually we commonly land on ice and snow. Not unusual in any way.

  • I love those zenairs

  • I was kinda hoping to see it go through the ice and sink....

  • lol me too )

  • hey thats not nice....just jokin...we were all thinkin it you just said it

  • @skinnymuppet hahah me to
