I feel these protective cases are a rip off. They're exspensive, and they don't work. I've had 2 smart phones that were broken while in cases because they fell on the screen which was unprotected even though it was supposed to be protected.

That would be a preferable case for me, but there's still no mention of it...

@Sycho1998 The only way a case will fit another phone model is if the physical aspects of the phone are EXACTLY the same. You'd need to compare the dimensions of the two phones as well as the button placement. The most likely answer is no since nearly all phones, even ones of the same model (diff based on carrier), are different and fitted cases are usually not universal.

Would you suggest getting this casing over those cheaper back casing ones? Like gelli and all those out there in the market?

I feel like the price isn't worth it coz the protection seems very minimal.

@kny4eva I don't buy unbranded cases, I've used some before and they seem ok - but I prefer buying from a seller that will provide warranty and similar quality of products through branding. Sometimes unbranded/branded cases are the same exact product, but I'd still pay extra for the branded model. Otterbox cases are one of a kind, but if you don't need the protection, go for some others.

I have a totally different galaxy. What's up with that! The sales slip says Galaxy sII X. The case you have seems common and is for sale all over the net but it is definitely not for my phone. Weird.

@damocles2002 You have the Rogers version I believe, which has a 4.5 inch screen and the camera cutout is different.

@damocles2002 The guy in the vid has the international version of the phone. I believe you have the US version like myself (has four touch sensitive buttons instead of 3 with a huge one in middle). Otterbox makes cases for bothe versions.

I just put up a video. I bought the case last night after a lot of research. It fits perfect other than the screen protector. Simply put your own screen protector and the case fits like a glove. The difference is the little button at the bottom of the phone. Here is my video. I am far from a videographer, LOL. First video with phone!

I have about given up on this question but does anyone happen to know if this is at all compatible with the US ATT version of Galaxy S2. Version SGH-i777. I have been asking this across the net and not one person has answered me or anyone else for that matter. As popular as this phone is in the US, there are hardly any cases available for it. Please someone just say yes or no to my question. And if not asking too much, why would it not fit ( size, buttons, etc.) Thanks in advance, I hope!

I really appreciate all the time you've taken to do these reviews.. I know it all comes down to preference, but do you think the otterbox for Galaxy S2 provides the most protection? Previously I was condiering casemate (barely there), but I don't think it gives that great a protection. Also, how is the (clear) screen guard that comes with the otterbox?? almost as good as ultra crystal?

@manewnick I've been using the casemate barely there case for a month and on the second drop my galaxy s2 lte screen shattered. I would not recommend it.

Yes not widely available but in his case he is actually using a Glass Screen Protector and not an actual white model.

I think your screen protector is thick enough for the silicon on the top earpiece part to lift up. Mine perfectly fits well. But I used the screen protector that came with the otterbox product.

@jaxeback73 It's actually the black version with an SGP Glas screen protector, which is made of very thin glass, and he chose the white on for his phone, making it look a little silly since his phone is black, but I can guarantee that white looks amazing, I own one.

With the larger screen size it would really be nice if these designers would design a case like that but with a kick-stand so we can truly take advantage of the landscape viewing experience....i know there are some out there with one, i bet those are the one people would probably be more interested in buying.

Should be noted that this case is not suitable for the SC-02C and M250 (japanese and korean market) versions of the Galaxy S II because you can't extend the TV antenna.

Do you think this case is tougher than the Casemate Tough Case? Also, do you know when the Otterbox Defender case for this phone will be released?

@TimmySayHi I think it is. It covers more (button plugs, screen top area has silicone) and the silicone is thicker. Tough is more comfortable though. I have no clue on the Defender series but if I find out I'll post on Twitter.

@Rhinken98 It could yes, however after inspecting it closely I would think that a thicker screen shield would make it so that that portion would be tighter on the phone if you get what I mean. I'd hate to remove the Glas just to find out. Hopefully others that receive the case can share their findings. Thank you for commenting.
