So Lore..they had ICC lasting year. And before that we got toc that wasnt really that great on desing side. Wow didnt "die" then and there was still other mmos against it still. There wasnt huge sub losses iirc..maybe it even raised that time. People still kept subbed for whole year. Its kinda scary that they can do it. Sure, GW2 and swtor are huge competition but if people want to go to gw/swtor they will and even "mop in 8 months" will make em come back.
If you need to cancel your annual pass, you just need to call billing. If you fall under certain circumstances, they'll remove your card from your account. I had to do this recently cause I lost my job. :(

The problem with loots from raid drops is the RNG, how is it enjoyable to possibly not get the best loots possible if RNG hates you? it's NOT FUN to run raid over and over to get no loots. Why can't there be alternative methods to getting the best loot while not getting shafted by RNG.

I have a channel of a lot of rogue PvP, in RBGs and Arena, its not the best but its at least 2200 and shows off what you CAN do with a rogue. They are fun to play in PvP (WTB World PvP again, hehehe). Anyway have fun with your rogue.
When talking about the 'really really good feral vs mediocre feral DPS comparison' it reinforced why i dislike rogue, and most melee design at the moment. Currently, as a rogue, melee attacks does around 35% damage, instant poison does 11.5%, deadly poison does 5.7%, Main Gauche does 7.4%, and, in firelands, burning wounds does 4%. That is 63.6% of your damage, that you DON'T control. The best of the best combat rogues, vs the mediocre rogues variance, is far from what it should be.
@TheTemplaroflight GW2 chooses not to focus on 'endgame' they focus on the game. Instead of leveling up to the level cap and then playing the game (like WoW) you play the same game at the level cap as you do at level 1.
@Direksone Yes I know, but that does not change the fact that you are basically left with nothing to do with your max level characters without the grind. If Lore is right about needing the grind, I might love playing my Guardian and not want to level another character but whats the point with no reward? I guess its different since it is a B2P pick up and play sort of game but I know a lot of people who plan to play it like WoW and that just wont happen.
@TheTemplaroflight There are instances and the world is so insanely vast that theres plenty to explore. And most likely you will level alts so youll be months into the game. GW2 is not for the same audience as WoW and thats a good thing. It attracts different players and I am in favor of it.

Blizzard does not try to reduce the Valor Points aquisition rate. If they wanted that, they would reduce the weekly cap. Since you cannot cap your VP by just clearing the current content (8 bosses á 100 points = 800, cap is 1000), they try to bring more raiders into LFG dungeons to carry the idiots inhabitating them.
I think its good they are lowering the amount of points you get from each boss. It makes getting a VP item so much more, you actually have to work for it.
I understand the whole the items you get with valor shouldnt be better then what you can get from the raid but will they pick a system and stick with it for once?

Thats why achievments were introduced. Once you've finsiehd gearing/not benefiting your character. You could/probably should try the PvP achievments lore.
The same story is for raiders when they clear content, they try do the achievments aswell.

What blizzard is doing in regards to valor points is a terrible idea. I've been having a bitch of a time gearing up my alt through the dungeon finder because everybody in there fucking sucks. If raiders and over the top geared people had a reason to run a dungeon or two a week (like during ICC and T11) I guarantee it wouldn't be so bad. But no, Blizzard is going to make it even worse.

@wetnoodl the current healing system is basically downranking, take resto shaman for example: you have greater healing wave which heals a lot and costs a lot (not supposed to be spammable) and you have healing wave which heals for less, but costs next to nothing (actually, healing wave is mana positive in t11+ gear). so instead of having healing wave rank 3 and 7, you have healing wave and greater healing wave.
I feel like there were less tiny things that pissed me off in BC. I mean, it takes on average about 10-15minutes for me to ragequit now whereas before, I could play for hours upon hours. Maybe it's because I can't win a 3-4 vs 1 battle anymore?
yes mages do dps with 2 buttons. but to be a top dpser, he needs to use Blink correctly instead of run, needs to slow fall the guy that was sent in the air, time well mana gems and also when and where to evocate (yes, if you evocate in the wrong moment it might just get "interrupted"). being dpser as a mage is not knowing the rotation but yes knowing timing and positioning and when to use each cooldown. example , enha have 8 button rotation but its the same priority whatever phase u are at...
i remember priston tale if u wanted to lvl up or "age" or something item, it could be destroyed nd stuff was crazy, haha those were the days of hardcore mmo's xD

I think its good they are lowering the amount of points you get from each boss. It makes getting a VP item so much more, you actually have to work for it.

lore, the one thing you didnt take into account when talking about 5.0 not dropping til the 3rd quarter of 2010, is that blizz has the balls to do that, they know that they would only lose like 1% of the ppl that play wow and pandaria will bring more back.

Thats why achievments were introduced. Once you've finsiehd gearing/not benefiting your character. You could/probably should try the PvP achievments lore.
The same story is for raiders when they clear content, they try do the achievments aswell.

What blizzard is doing in regards to valor points is a terrible idea. I've been having a bitch of a time gearing up my alt through the dungeon finder because everybody in there fucking sucks. If raiders and over the top geared people had a reason to run a dungeon or two a week (like during ICC and T11) I guarantee it wouldn't be so bad. But no, Blizzard is going to make it even worse.

@ 10:13 (Glyph Question): That would actually be a really great way to revamp Glyphs and it would solve the problem of 'weaker players' making rotations boring for better players. gogo blizz plz make Major glyphs the 'make my rotation hard but better'-glyphs. (i QQed a lot when they nerved affliction-warlock and made the rotation easier)

Like I posted last week, they can't put a 1-2 minute CD on dispel as it will utterly break PvE dispelling. 10 seconds on dispel is already going to be hell when you have more than one person to dispel.

@wetnoodl the current healing system is basically downranking, take resto shaman for example: you have greater healing wave which heals a lot and costs a lot (not supposed to be spammable) and you have healing wave which heals for less, but costs next to nothing (actually, healing wave is mana positive in t11+ gear). so instead of having healing wave rank 3 and 7, you have healing wave and greater healing wave.

yes mages do dps with 2 buttons. but to be a top dpser, he needs to use Blink correctly instead of run, needs to slow fall the guy that was sent in the air, time well mana gems and also when and where to evocate (yes, if you evocate in the wrong moment it might just get "interrupted"). being dpser as a mage is not knowing the rotation but yes knowing timing and positioning and when to use each cooldown. example , enha have 8 button rotation but its the same priority whatever phase u are at...

One problem that has one solution. Offensive specs use Dispel = Offensive (Long cooldown). Heal specs use Cleanse = Defensive (Short cooldown).
