Lake Superior waves during gale force winds

I dodged the waves on this very breakwall when I was young...I was very stupid. People have drowned in this very place after being swept off the wall by a big wave. This is the Upper Harbor Breakwall at the Presque Isle.

The break wall in MArquette is cool. We used to go out to 5 Mile Point in Christmas. You can get up close and personal with teh waves there too.

That's me in the yellow coat :) It was pretty incredible. It was really cold (notice the snow coming down when it pans to me) but we had to check out the waves.

I thought I saw "Harvey the Great Lakes Whale" floating around in that storm. There is a book by that title on line. It has a lot of information about Lake Superior

Because there's more than one Presque Isle. One is by Marquette, MI -- which is Lake Superior.

hahaha that's funny, I told my friend the same thing when Lake Michigan was like that here in Chicago she said $10 and started to walk out, I never grabbed someone so fast in my life. "That's where the action is!!" Ha was a good memory
