Any shortwave radio with good (full if possible, with 1 khz steps if tuning is digital) frequency coverage.
A radio with SSB circuitry is best too. SSB basically involves reinserting a carrier wave in a signal which has had it purposefully removed (to make transmission more efficient). SSB can be (badly) simulated with two analogue radios as they 'leak' carriers x khz above or below the tuned freq - so one radio can leak the correct freq to be picked up by the other as a carrier.
Sounds like the bridge of the Enterprise...

What kind of equipment would I need to hear such number stations? And what is this 2 analogue AM radios to simulate SSB trick you are talking about?
