  • Best opening level ever!

  • is this with or without the RAM pak?

  • I love this game til this day. "LIKE" this if u agree :). best shooter game ill say, better than its new version for xbox and PDzero, i love the pause menu theme mosttoo. my fav track is Carrington institute too :)

  • Very enjoyable game with awesome weapons and gadgets!

  • RARE were simply on another level with the n64. Never before had a developer acted as 1 with a peice of hardware so flawlessly... as that company did from 1996-2000.

  • this game had everything, chicks with guns, aliens, a presidential assassination/cloning attempt, spies, a talking hoverboard, Area 51, Elvis, Air Force 1, and above all, one badass soundtrack to top it all off.

  • When I found out that Microsoft bought Rare I was severely disappointed when Perfect Dark went with it. This game logged the most play time by far on my 64 passing SuperSmashBros. and Zelda:OoT

  • There is a DISTINCT lack of Chicago on here.

  • Man ive played this way too much back in the day I beat 8 dark sims but my fav song is at 4:50

  • meatsim a wreckless computer simulant which is easy to defeat; one who is unskilled

  • Legendary OST

  • This was old school. I miss this kinda battle mode now adays its all about war. back then it was like hide and seek with a gun

  • Is it no surprise the N64 had the best mutliplayer ever?

  • Hmm, I think you're missing one song, unless I'm just lame and missed it myself! However, the song I believe that should be on here is the very Oriental sounding song, I think we all know the one.

  • Great musique and great game. Hard to find better :)

  • I can hear the Rare influence on the music. At points, I can hear Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country. I love this music.

  • 8:54 is one of my all time favorite themes. We had many a good time with this game.

  • @Doomside That theme is also my favorite. I would always be playing that one.

  • Fun mode in multiplayer:

You need two tv:s or something to split the screen.

    1. All sims peace sim.

    2.Dress player 1 peacesim.

3.Objective is that player 2 to find and kill player 1 to win.You can also set some rules how many times the peacesimplayer has to assasinate player 2 before he wins the game.

    4. play this on a small map.

5.Have fun. This is great for laughs

  • Heres a fun mode for multiplayer if you got two tvs or can make some fix to seperate the screen:

    2players.

    Put all sims peacesim.

    Dress player 2 like peacesim.

Objective: player 1 has to find the peacesimplayer and kill him.

Play this on a small map.

The key is to try to emulate the actions of peacesims and it's fun to fuck around with the clueless player one.

  • This is one of the best games ever created in gaming history!

The music, graphics, gameplay, story were all top rate!!!

    It actually supported 720p resolution!!!

I wish they would release this with 007 to a console port already!!!

  • @Pyoti If you have an XBox 360, you can buy a Perfect Dark Redux on the arcade. Exact same game, they just updated the graphics a lot, and re-did the controls to work better on the controller. Still a fun game :D

  • I was way into PSX and Dreamcast stuff by the time this was released, so I never got to play much aside from a few drunken evenings with college buddies.

Seems like it's basically a better version of GoldenEye, but considering the pedigree, that seems totally fine.

  • WOOHOO Perfect Dark! still got this for N64 :D, one of the best FPS's ever! and i'm not surprised this is posted, for it's now on XBLA :D, man i love this game!

  • This game was so much fun. I used to get so angry trying to unlock the cheat modes.....

  • wow i actually heard craig from screwattack say that this game was good because it was a copy of golden eye. I thought he was kind of right but now im convinced. Graeme Norgate was also the composer for golden eye.

  • it surpasses goldeneye.

i have both games and played both a lot. goldeneye has more atmosphere and a better single player, but perfect dark has a stunning multiplayer, a lot of music/weapons/options to choose from which totaly overwhelms goldeneye.

  • @jijenikkke yup I've played golde eye and its all right but thanks but no thanks. !)

  • hell yeah we getting perfect dark for 360

  • I still play this when i'm at home-it has such an insane level of replay value that I play it 10 years after its release. I'm still trying to get to the number 1 ranking on the combat simulator. I think i'm around 4 or 5 at the moment with something like 50,000 kills. I will get there one day dammit!

  • What? No Pelagic II?

  • Seems and sounds like a good game. I might try it out !

  • Much like some of the other ones I never appreciated the music in this game when I was younger. Nice vid

  • 2nd only to Golden Eye as far as the N64 goes

  • Man, I never even got around to unlocking that bonus mission at the end of the video. I'm such a PD noob...

  • Fantastic <3

  • I'm so glad this just came out on XBLA, been playing it like crazy in online multi for the past few days...

  • i love this game best fps game ever along with goldeneye and turok 1 and 2 eat your heart out halo

  • I like how they remade a few of the songs for the newer game...

  • ya , finally , some good music mother f#$%ers.....wait , where the f#$% was the spine cringing into theme? - oh there it is lol..........

    ......ah yes finally , instatute x , a good song , rawr.........

  • So ... luckily I pressed the yellow button (: *

  • This music is mahtva, Sound will change from time to time. And while some people use music to "YouTubePoop" - videos, cartoons, so in this situation YouTubePooP Music Video just awesome. Thank you for this, and fortunately the subbasin you, and I got to hear this, and I get to hear other great music (:

  • The music is not very apreciated for this game; I guess amidst the gun fire, no onae really pays attention.

A shame, for it is great.

  • a masterpiece!

  • What a fun multiplayer match? Round up a few friends and go you VS the max number of bots...and here's the trick...make them ALL peace sims, and the game mode capture the case. It's the most chaotic game EVER. That's what I loved about PD...the multiplayer gave so many options...from classic to completely bat-shit INSANE!

  • lol, i love playing alone, get a meat, easy, normal, kaze, judge, fued, venge, and yourself, and that game gets bat shit insane! OR if you're like me ;D, playing alone again, with 6 perfects vs 1 meat XD, instant pwnage XD

  • This game looks cool

  • It's possibly one the games I've spent more time playing with. It's a masterpiece 5/5

  • I was recently playing the demo of Perfect Dark on the XBLA an you know what? I'll rather stick to the N64 version, in the Xbox version the controls are weird IMO, and the motion is making me feel dizzy. N64 version has framerate issues, but i stilll prefer that one. Classics FTW. (sorry for shitty english).

  • @gctechs your english is just fine. no need to excuse yourself.

  • @gctechs

Your English is fine, my friend :)

I personally like the XBLA version, but hey, to each is/her own.

  • @gctechs I played the xbox live version and loved it ! but the dual analog just feels weird so i am gonna stick to the Nintendo 64 version this has nothing to do with nostalgia but when it comes to banjo kazooie i dont mind which version i play xbla or n64 (=

  • awesomesauce

  • I think the goldeneye music was better, but PD's music was less... distracting?
