after awhile when people see how insensitive republicans are, especially when the natural disaster didn't happen to THEM, that their party will shrink down to the size that another massive 2nd party will take over. There are already a lot of voters who their political party is "not declared" and that is rising as people see disgust in politics.
I'm so glad Cantor and the GOP are putting the people of this country ahead of party politics. And there's no finer way to prove that than by squawking about how to pay for emergency funding the morning after people have died and had their lives devastated by a tornado.
I can't find any credible links( CNN, Reuters etc) that claim the aid is being halted by Canter. A 1.5 billion dollar loan that was to go to help create fuel efficient cars is being cut to help aid the victims. So they are getting the aid by the gov. It sucks about the loan cut, however at least people will be getting aid.I trust TYT, but no other source that is biased is posting this.Can someone send me a link, I need more then one source so my friends believe Cantor( GOP) is behind this mess.
If the folks really asking for the aid REALLY want it, why are they ONLY going after the federal gov't? You telling me the STATE gov't doesn't even have a few million or hundreds of thousands it can cough up for disaster relief? In no way possible?
It's not like the ONLY gov't that can dole out money for things like disaster relief is federal, ya know. There ARE local and state gov'ts, as many lefties seem to forget.
Besides, do you REALLY like being dependent on one single gov't thousands of miles away in D.C. for things like disaster relief and FEMA, as opposed to getting the states THEMSELVES more in the business of disaster relief as well? You know, setting money aside for a 'rainy day' n shit? Just sayin
Seems like a recipe for disaster in my view. But, unfortunately, many on the Left seem content with treating our system of gov't as a UNITARY one rather than the FEDERAL one that was intended and enshrined in the Constitution.

It is more economical to have one single FEMA type organization prepared and ready to go where it is needed, possibly with its means distributed so that they are not destroyed when a natural disaster happens.
Whatever means of rescue and help the States can have are not as economically viable and will always have been affected by such an event.
