  • Shiva Kicks are easy to do at home for me.

  • Awesome but its pronounced Shakti as in 'chuck and shuck' so its Shuckti not Shaaaakti. Same with Shiva. Its not Shieeeva its Shiva

  • I am going to practice these! It's really great to see the steps you took to get where you are. To hear that you practiced these for a year before getting higher is actually very encouraging xo

  • Sadie....is it alright to this on blocks?

  • I have a very flexible lower back, and it is alos very arched naturally, so I always find myself going over my head and falling into a back bend.. :( as soon as my hips get over my hands, even though I try to keep my belly as tight as possible, the curve in my lower back seems to make me go over.. any tips? do I just need more strenght in my core to balance out the arch in my back?

  • @Nevia1112

I think this named pose is in admiration of and perhaps named after the deity Shiva or just in the spirit of his abilities. There is already a pose named after him called Lord Bhairava pose.

The energy of Shiva is Shatki, Shiva's spouse. I like that Sadie is embracing the tradition. I mean no disrespect at all to Hinduism.

  • @Daniea3 ok agree with u.. thank u for clearing my misunderstaing.. God bless :)

  • Sadie, tendrías que aclarar que estos movimientos hay que hacerlos con supervición, sino son peligrosos, no todos tienen tu cuerpo y todos tienen derecho al Yoga. Gracias,Namasté
