I think the trend is for people to speak more than one language. I speak two languages, and feel very lucky that I can understand everything about Micheal, his songs, his speeches, poems, interviews, books, and everything on youtube. This video was Directed by Nick Brandt, same director as EARTH SONG, back in 2000 or 01. I had the honor in being a link in most of the locations. Video was made in 2001 or 2002, not really an MJ vid though. I remember Mike didn't want to make another vid after "You rock my world" since he had that problem with Sony at that time, but Sony wanted another clip to do a decent promotion (probably to show that they are good and fair with Mike, esp after the demonstration he did in NY) and made this vid without him (thus he isn't even in it, though it's not the first vid without him).

@Taru58 This IS a "real" MJ video and he had a lot to do with it's production. Hence, only using the same director of Earth Song. It was made when we were going to war and our troops were being deployed. That said, the reason it was never seen in America, due to the controversy. I was lucky enough to be apart of the video and having a short stint friendship w/ director. I honestly do not want to mention why he wasn't on the video, but do know he was a MAJOR part of it!

He was not in Heal the world (I recall there was a version he just nodded on and it's very rarely shown but similar to the first one which he directed, he was not present in either version, unlike in his other videos (like he is present himself in Earth Song)), and he was not present in History Remix (only cuts from his old videos, but I think he directed it or it was his idea, I cannot remember the background of that one).

Remember he wasn't in "Heal the World" as well as in the official version of "Man in the Mirror", which were all done whilst he was alive. And if we are to go by Wikipedia, it actually says "The reason Jackson didn't appear in the video is because it was released in the wake of 9/11. Jackson felt that if he appeared in the video this would hurt the video and wouldn't show the world united." Just thought I might direct you to that.

I see your point that it may not be vintage Jacko magic. I have read elsewhere that there were a lot of issues regarding its release with Michael trying to distance himself from this current version. But it was definitely made whilst he was still alive - I had watched it way before that fateful day. Yes, "Heal the World" is more creative. But this touch perhaps falls in with the general hue of the album "Invincible" which was overall not "usual MJ magic". I guess he wanted something different.
