    we love phantom to peoples.

  • wouldnt johnny depp make a great phantom of the paradise or even as the paul williams character

  • @edwoodjr999 Nah, I'm sick of him doing remakes of superior early things.

  • SIMPLEMENTE LO MAXIMO!

  • So haunting. So beautiful.

  • i really love this movie remind me my friends from mi city cousing and everiybody else dammm...

  • Love this song!!!

  • This movie is a cult classic, it's older than me.. the ending is just tragic. It says a message to if you think about it.

This is one of the few musicals I actually like.. cause this is is a Rock Opera! Let's hope this classic does not get touched for a remake and butchered

  • my favorite on this album.devils that disturbed me.great line.peggers rock.

  • Carbuerators man....that is what life is all about............

  • out of all the Phantom songs...this is my favorite.

  • @snowy16100 I love this one and Special to me.

  • i love the part when winslow is written the songs for fenix

  • Just wonderful to hear this again. Thanks for the upload :-)

  • YOU KNOW ITS A GOOD SONG WHEN THERES ONLY ONE DISLIKE

  • who ever disliked this video all of the obne of u go to hell

  • INVINCIBLE Mysterium tremendum et fascinans

  • I was at the premier when I was about 10. Freaked my shit out.

  • @rsmothersjr I was 8 years old when this came out. I was way too young too see it but I distinctly remember my oldest sister taking me later on and how much of an impact it had on my life even at that young age.

  • just think...the guy who played swan worked with the muppets XD oh Paul Williams....

  • Cool movie, saw it as a double bill with Rock Horror at the drive-in (anyone remember them) . . . Great track!! . . .

  • @jayanxiety yeah but its still very campy and 70sish like rocky horror. Both films are underrated and have amazing music tho

  • Why Rocky Horror is looked upon with such reverence and this film is still an obscure cult film just baffles me! POTP is superior in almost every aspect! Maybe it's better this way. It hasn't been overplayed or become a parody of itself like Rocky Horror has. Long live Phantom!

  • This should have won an Oscar for best song 1974.

  • I'd have to guess 35 mm Celluloid. Same theater I saw Star Wars Episode IV ( The actual 1st Star Wars). At the time it was a "State of the Art" Theater in New orleans La. Actually saw it 3 or 4 times when it first came out. Then maybe 10 or 12 times at "Midnight Movies". I have owned the beta cpy, vhs, and actually found the dvd at a pawn shop Jan 2011. Avail on ebay also, where I bought the soundtrack. Which I owned on LP and Cassette. Shop around ebay. prices vary. One of a Kind. Enjoy

  • Just wondering, how did you see this movie in the 70's, what type of media was it? I first saw the movie on Beta tape, i think it was 1981 ot 82 lol. Just curios

  • this song is sublime.

  • Saw this so many times as a teenager in the 70's still have the sheet music in a Paul Williams complete piano music book. Great old cult movie with amazing music!

  • i love phantom of the paradise

  • Super film ! Comment from france

  • Saw this movie in the theatre in the 70's. Loved Phoenix! Owned the soundtrack album too.

  • having been there at the time, I was surprised that this, and it's nearly mirror image counter part "Rocky Horror Show" were so universally ignored. As many have said here, great lyrics, incredible performances, iffy story, but it did manage to meld all the motifs promised. All in all, a superlative effort by every performer.

  • The Music, The Acting, The Story, is all of whaf I love about this movie, this song is so beautiful. Song of my life right about now :)

  • my god, how have I never heard this before.

  • Yes , the film is largely painful to watch but some of the music/lyrics is sublime

. . .aye, Blossom that's the rub of it, ain't it!

  • Its a terrible disjointed and poorly made movie but the songs are classic 70s songs easily up there with rocky horror.

  • every song in this film is amazing <3 so much feeling and deep meanings. Wonderfully written lyrics and composed music... its beautiful.

  • he's still making music

  • paul williams is the president of ascap

endoskeleton thank you so much !

greatest soundtrack of all times ..

the salvadorean people apreciate what you are doing .

  • @vlordimor ... one of my favorite movies, my # 1 favorite soundtrack... since '76? '77? I had this on 8 track !!!! can you enlighten me, why this is special to el salvador? the movie was about defeating evil, for the good of a loved one... I think... if I'm wrong, I think I'm close...

  • @upthcreek Its about reconciliation - the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Good and Evil are within man, not objective realities.

  • i have just no words for this... everysingle time gives me the chills, even if this is the 100th time i hear this song

  • great lyrics.......

  • Thank you so much for helping the world hear this so important music.

    sometimes god sings-

  • beautiful song from Paul Williams. And that's very kind to share with us, thanks! :)

  • grear song!!!

    thanks so much for this!!

  • un brivido che dura da 30 anni, fantastico

  • My Favorite movie of all time i watched this move like forty times back in the 70`s and i have on vhs and dvd and i don`t get tired of whatching it

  • Who does? Except it is so sad.

  • I think it didn't win any awards because it is just too good, way beyond the prize-giving business people, way beyond its time too. It's been compared to The Rocky Horror Show, but I find this superficial. The RHS is a brilliant musical comedy, but is little compared to this masterpiece: none of its lyricism, its darkness, above all its music. God forbid the Hollywood version they say they're about to perpetrate...

  • You really know wot yer talking about.RH was the shit too,but this was much more elegant & godly.

    BONES

  • Paul Williams is in the Song Writers Hall of Fame.... Old Fashion Love song put 3 Dog night on the Charts, But His Writing in Paradize is a masterpeice.... I bow to you Pail Williams, With Love and Respect. You are 8 feet tall in my eyes

  • perfection.

  • This whole album is a masterpiece! How did it not win any awards?

  • i love this movie so much! and the amazing music! :)

  • @LedKashmir this is amazing

  • thanks a lot for sharing this. thriling!

  • ottimo film...fantastica canzone!

  • im in tears

  • Wonderful song.

  • Everything in this movie is so amazing, but the music...is something unmatchable

  • @DantescoDurante One of my favorite films of alll time! Gaston Leroux's Phantom of the Opera combined with elements of Faust, humor, and one helluva great soundtrack!

  • Clean sound!

  • Haunting, beautiful, and absolutely timeless.

  • poor guy i have seen the movie 80 times and he still suffers

  • i took this record from my dads collection when i was 4 years old, he never argued ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,30 plus years and its still as vibrant as ever.. masterpiece if you like this song check out..........odysey by KISS let me know what you think
