Uhhh sick of all the negativity on this video. If you dont like it then dont watch it... I honestly dont see or here to much about bdsm in my day to day life... probably because people dont want to be know as a "freak" or a "weirdo" for liking to be "beaten"... This is something that is never going to change because people dont have an open mind about sex in general.
i wonder if animals get fetishes and bdsm also!its weird, but i would love to be tortured or have to worship a sexy mistress...even for the rest of my life!!
To those nay sayers, have you accually watched the full documentary? If not take the time to watch it before passing judgment. You might be surprised by what you find out, and may learn the truth about BDSM instead of the lies myths, and stereotypes perpetuated by the miss-informed public. I encourage eveyone who watches this to buy the video and do their own personal critical inquiry essay and ask your self questions about what you saw and larn more.
I know someone who is into the kind of duct tape, chloroform, abduction, bondage type pornography. I'm not sure if I should be worried about him, the stuff he watches is kinda sinister. And I know this because he's not very cautious about his internet using (not clearing history, his main account is subscribed to tons of bdsm channels...) He used to have a journal with drawings of such scenes when he was 9-10. I'm so concerned that this may be dangerous and maybe he needs help.
My problem is not the fetish or any of the specifics, it's how someone develops the fetish in the first place, there would have been at least some abusive stimulus during childhood - something clicks at a bad time? Probably.
@Cacmypants It dosen't HAVE to be connected in how you were raised at all, its more like tastes, like some people would love fish and the taste of it while others hate it, its all based on how your body interprets it, so while for some pain is only a negative feeling, for others it can be very pleasurable if they experience the pain in a erotic way mixing it with pleasure.
@ugaboj I disagree, you cannot acquire a taste for fish without having eaten it before. Pain is the bodies alarm system, it is innately negative. I can understand if some people have twisted it into a positive though given some of the strange stuff I'm into.
If we let ourselves get kinky and deep into our never ending sexual needs,I fear that we'll reach at a time where Pedophilia will be accepted. The only reason pedophilia or necrophilia isn't accepted is b/c the other partner isn't willing, but there is still a deep yearning for the people who likes it.Just because we have an eccentric sexual preference, we don't need 2 come up with a convincing explanation to make it legit.Good ol' sex should be enough ffor everybody, but am not enforcing my views.
I have been told that consensual BDSM has existed since prehistoric times, but I am trying to find proof as I want confirmation of what I hope is true does anyone have any sources? :)
I hope they talk about the difference between a healthy fetish and a mental disorder. Especially when it comes to edgeplay like suffocation for example.
@LostRituals and i am sorry to sound rude, but it is not up to you to decide what others should do. if your partner asks you to do bdsm with him\her , you of course can say no. but of i decide to do it with my partner, i will not ask you for advice or opinion.
@zoyataylor Of course it affects the society as a whole and therefore it does affect me.
It affects morality and language and therefore guides people, their thoughts and their actions and as a result can be seen in day-to-day conversations, adverts, radio (Rihanna - S&M?), your working place and mine. Basicly everywhere.
How can people not understand that they are what they do and every experience forms the "I". There is no separate "me-talking-to-kids" and "BDSM-me". Only one you.
@LostRituals - Of course it's still the same person, but it's perfectly possible to make a distinction between your sex life and your day-to)-day life, even if they probably will influence each other,

@TekLok Or like cutting or blood fetish. Basically the kinds of games that could immediately kill you before you orgasm lol.

This is awesome, I love that it is breaking down sterotypes and misconceptions people outside the BDSM community have.

bdsm is about philosophy; not just hand-cuffs and latex...
zoyataylor 1 year ago 11
@zoyataylor Philosophy of hedonism and ego gratification I suppose?
If something is consensual then do you think it should be allowed just because of that?
Consensual things between two adults affect the whole society. People who are into BDSM don't understand that?
LostRituals 1 week ago
@LostRituals how exactly does it affect you? as long as you dont watch the video with bdsm it does not affect you.

@Fan666Maiden Well, everyone can do w/e they want and I'm sure they will do just that.
I just thought I'd share my opinion about it.
It's a bit like cutting your wrists... Everyone's got a freedom to use their own body, right? Do they need help or do they ned freedom?
