Interesting. Didn't they claim "over 11k 3Dmarks" - surely in regards to '06...?

they did claim that and it is achievable however you need to tweak it to achieve it. this is the base config out the box.

I believe you. I always tend to furrow my brow at such marketing if the system can't do it, as you said, out-of-box. Still a BADASS choice for FPS gaming though brotha - I bought a Samsung 2233rz for my desktop, also 120Hz. I'd say both are a big thumbs up for gamers. Good work!

i think gaming will get a huge boost when 3d tech like the stuff you saw in avatar imax 3d becomes available. few more years

I think you're right. I still have to actually try NVIDIA 3D tech. I bought the monitor for the refresh, haha.

Also, Sorry, I failed to note that this is the "A1" variant of this laptop, there's a "3D" version, too, that has a lower-resolution but 120hz screen. You almost definitely already know that, but yeah, my bad. Sorry about the confusion, lol.
