Dude, that doesn't look like a reporter, just a tech guy. His "reporter" is probably where the action is. That truck doesn't really look armored either. I say check your facts. If they're all that concerned for safety, why is he hanging out the window talking to you, and telling you he's with fox news? Would have lied if he cared.

Nope. He was using the camera turret on the roof. If you watch the video closely you'll see that clearly. Doesn't matter if you're a cameraman or in front of the camera - you're still a reporter (lots of citizen journalists who shoot their own video and don't appear on-screen would disagree with you). The mainstream media was cleared out of the area - check other reports to verify this. Also, that turret sure looked armored to me.

I still don't get why he would talk to you if they're hiding. I saw lot's of video of those protest from the mainstream media, including fox news and it was in the thick of it. Looks to me like they had nothing to hide since they ID'd themselves to you. Think what you want. If they really were being biased, they would have let the cops do what they want without being there to show the public. I rarely agree with fox news shows, but i think this is a little of base, IMHO.
