  • Madlibs version is more complex, this is tight.

but noone can even touch madlib.

  • i feel you

  • it's good to know that hip hop can still sound like this, not like lil wayne or flo-rida

  • @marlex1979 thing is q tip still recognises lil wayne etc as new school rap.

  • @marlex1979 there is a difference between Hip-Hop and Rap music. Please understand the difference cuz what's on the radio is not Hip-Hop, it's Rap music.

  • q-tip such a hero

  • man why is youtube being such a cunt and getting rid of all the ill music videos

  • great song,but i cant find a video spot

  • madlibs track more mellow

  • not bad,i was about to sample this

  • 9th Wonder is the truth for real. I heart him for this sample

  • 9th? pretty sure its dilla mate

  • Well, I'll be...You are right. I stand straightened out and corrected, lol. Thanks

  • It's Not Dilla...Q Made This Beat..He Made Every Beat On The Album Except For "Move" Produced By The Late Great Dilla..

  • RIP Dilla

  • madlib did a way better job, q-tip killed it

  • I disagree, but I like both versions. Overall I like Madlib better as an artist, but I think this version by Q-Tip is kickin'.

  • whatsMadlibs version

  • It's called "Understanding (Comprehension)". It's track 28 off Beat Konducta, Vol. 1 and 2

  • way better iz waht it is type in madlib-understand

  • the thing about this song i truly love is that is shows that tru rap music is coming back nothing against jezzy wayne gucci and all the artist like them i think that they are some of the best out right now. but rap needs more positive niggas like this old school rap is the staple of the culture. yea and props to kanye cuz he is the best out and one of the most original artist out. him and lupe

  • this is the shit!!!!

  • love this beat but smacdee is right this is better than madlibs version

  • QTIP,I'm steal here dear!

  • the rennissance is too phresh native toungue for liiiife!

  • its been my fav cd all year, constantly played

  • this is so damn official. tip just dropped a for sure top 5 album for the year.

  • luv the original for romancin, luv the remake betta for prancin.

  • The roots Play!!!! Check out Jay Z unplugged. The roots make his songs a million times better. LOL

  • Steady

  • goodgood song

  • im just wandering. Just Blaze, Stoupe, Dj Premier, Pete Rock, dr. dre, and even RZA. Do they play any instruments besides sampling boards and turntables. Can they play pianos or guitars, or do they get someone else to do it. Because i kno the difference between a producer and a beatmaker. And most of da beatmakers i know only use samples and synthetic drums. Are any other live instruments done by them, or do they just direct the music, and slap buttons. Im stil tryin to find out if its 100% them

  • they may not necessarily play the instruments on the actual track but damn near all of them can play more than one instrument and damn near all of them at the VERY least play the piano...

but its these new beatmakers that use computers and keyboards and shit [solja boy]...

    should be worried bout them.

    sorry for the punctuation...lol

  • Just Blaze can play, just not that well. He has a keyboardist that works with him (who's also a producer) named Canei Finch.

I doubt Stoupe, Premo or Pete Rock can play keys.

Dr. Dre, very little. He's getting lessons apparently.

RZA, possibly. I don't know about him.

  • rza plays violin, guitar, piano, and drums

  • oh word?

    cool

but most sample based producers don't really play keys

  • true, but that's what's crazy about hip hop, it's not what you use, but how you use it.

even though scott storch can definitely play the piano, i can never put him on top of 9th wonder, who probably never touched anything other than a computer.

  • RZA played the piano for "The mystary of chessboxing"

  • I thought Dilla did this beat.

  • i thought so too, but it was tip.

  • madlib on the beat?

  • naw tip produced it..

  • Madlib used this sample first, its called "understanding"...I like what TIP did with it also...
