  • I Can't Wait To Watch Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2010.

  • 10 days till Thanksgiving.

  • I wonder what the 82nd Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be like?.

  • Wow. That's Terrific. I Can't Wait To See These Bad Boys At This Year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. My Favorite One Is The Pikachu Balloon. That's My Favorite One. I Wonder If The Pikachu Balloon (a.k.a my favorite balloon) Is Going to be at this year's Macy's Thanksgiving day parade?. So Anyway, Kudos to you, FantasticBabblings, My Hats Off To You.

  • Sad sad show...I would have liked to see them when they were ACTUALLY floating in the air! No pizazz, no content, and most importantly NO ACTION! where's the &@#$%$# ACTION! SHAME on you for creating such lame entertainment. I will give you only ONE STAR simply because I enjoyed flogging you way too much! tsk tsk...

  • I thought that snow man was cute.

  • They look good!

How high do they fly them???

  • Phil I'm so glad you did this. I was hoping someone from NY would post some videos of the parade or events! It was great watching the parade after visiting NY because I actually knew some of the streets and locations!

  • i grew up in NY and i never ever had any interest in this. LOL!

  • My parents demanded I return home from NYC for thanksgiving, so I missed the parade. Oh well, there is always next year. The balloons look amazing though.

Healthy Mr. Potato Head? Perhaps I just couldn't see in the video, but what made him healthier than normal Mr. Potato Head?

  • That rabbit was a real waste of time, creativity and effort. I love the guy's work but that was OFF.

  • haha hes funny funny dude

  • On the off-chance that an alien species stumbled upon this little ritual as first contact I have no idea what they would think of us, but I do know that it definitely would be something interesting.

  • What a great parade for kids of all ages. I think it's amazing. The attention to detail is brilliant in all of those balloons, however, I have to say the Pillsbury Doughboy looks like he could gain a few pounds lol.

  • i was there!!! that was an amazing parade!!!!!!!

  • Don't you know looking at a frog's butt is rude? LOL, looks like you had a good time

  • But it's so green and shiny, is a frog's hiney.

  • PIKA, PIKA! Pikachuuuuuuu!!!!

  • What is Pikachu anyway? A nose booger?

  • Pokemon??

     get a clue

  • It's a yellow electric mouse! Some pikachus are annoying fucks.. but most of 'em kick ass!!

    PIKA! Pika?? ^_^

  • Those balloons are amazing, they look pretty big.

Where do they store them for the rest of the year?

    Enjoy the parade :)

  • They stay at the North Pole for the rest of the year, of course. Either that or a warehouse in New Jersey - where there is a large inflatable Jimmy Hoffa balloon.

  • @andymooseman They Keep The Balloons In Macy's Studio's For The Rest Of The Year, The Popped Ones Stay At The North Pole. Macy's Studio's Are In Pensyllvania

  • wow! Pretty cool! Although some of those characters scare me a bit, like Ronald MacDonald, and Hello Kitty! And did 2 people climb into a snowmans backside?

Great atmosphere! Scooby and Shrek were really cute!

  • oh and the doughboy one-Ghostbuster flashbacks!

  • Yes, two people did climb into the snowman's backside. It is the scandal of the parade!

  • Thanks Paul. I wish you could join us for Thanksgiving.

  • Now that is something you don't get to see everyday...thanks Phil.

  • Another great Vid., Thanks for posting it

  • Thanks, Jim. Happy Thanksgiving.

  • Lucky snowman!

  • You don't know the half of it. Do you think that is a carrot he has for a nose? Think again, my friend.

  • That makes sense that they'd fill them up with helium the night before. [Rolling eyes at myself]

I was happy to see Kermit the Frog and the Pillsbury Doughboy. Thanks for sharing!

I wish you a nice holiday, Phil. :)

  • I wish the same for you.

  • Thanks for reminding, I should turn off the computer and check the TV before the parade is over. Well... after one or two more videos...

I love the shouts for Scooby Doo - He's a rock star! Meanwhile, poor old Mr. Peanut shuffles past in near anonymity.

  • Scooby rocks. Alas, Mr. Peanut is a has been.

  • Wow, this brought back a flood of memeories for me from my childhood, when my brother and I watched this on TV with special 'holiday' breakfast on our TV trays.

I never realized the floats and balloons were in colour as we were the last people on the block - or universe for that matter - to acquire a colour TV. ;)

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks for watching Lesley. My memory of the balloons is black and white too. Seeing them full size and in all their color is a bit shocking. I needed a drink afterwards:)

  • That's was really fun. It must be quite fun walking through the streets with all of that going on. Thanks for sharing this Phil.

  • It's fun and it's also very chaotic and at times the crowd gets so tight it's a bit scary. But that makes it more fun.

  • How cool that must have been! Some people say I look like Shrek! Thanks for sharing.

  • You have a much better complexion than Srek. Green though he is, he's kinda sexy.

  • Terrific footage, Phil. Thanks. Benny loved it!

  • Great Tom. Happy Turkey day to you and Benny and all of the clan.

  • LOL! What a fun video!!!

  • Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Wow, that's a lot of hot air. I guess there were quite a few republican politicians there.

  • I'm sure Ronald MacDonald is. I think the Snowman is a libertarian, though.

  • great vid phil, have a great t-day

  • Thanks Tommy.

  • great thankgiving vid for all!

  • Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Gonna show the little guys this one when we get back! Pretty cool never seen b4.

  • Yeah, this part's better than the actual parade. Have a great day, Huey.

  • now that opening line just got me straight away!

K.T.Frog, they used to have trouble keeping him up,now they have trouble keeping him down! (sounds like a cheesey news broadcast on bipolarity!)

ive never seen the floats and things and it was so nice to get to see them! there were alot of kids there, did you go alone?!

at things like that i always have toruble filming myself infront of people without feeling foolish! you brave guy! :)

  • I went alone. And I felt foolish, but it wasn't the first time. Won't be the last.

  • Question for the green giant in the back - is it true that ogres are like onions?

  • In that they stink?

  • The intro cracked me up, I wondered what kind of chaos there was setting up for the parade.

  • I was worried it might get too wholesome. But that was before I saw people crawling up the Snowman's ass.

  • I suppose the gigantic fantastic floating head will also be participating in the parade?? =D

    Happy Thanksgiving, Phil!!

I hope you have the biggest and best bird EVER!!

  • I wish they would float my head down Broadway. That would be so much fun. Of course it would frighten the children.

  • Wow. What happened to the classic balloons? Shrek has no place as a balloon. Little creepy how commercial even the little things you don't think about have become. Thanks for sharing.

  • Snoopy is still there. But Bullwinkle is living in a home in New Jersey, and Underdog can't even recognize Polly Purebred anymore. It's sad. The secret horrors of helium exposure.

  • Oh man. Underdog. After that movie, he's basically been hit by two cars and gone blind five times. Jason Lee is a lost hope and is trashing culture in pairs! Next is Alvin and the Chipmunks. Anyways, thanks again for documenting things.

  • those are some of the biggest blow up dolls I have ever seen!

  • Yeah, and you saw what those guys were doing to the snowman. Right there in front of the kids. I didn't get to shoot the part where he farted and blew everybody out his ass.

  • "Healthy" Mr. Potato Head?? Baked not fried?

I would love to knock over that Pikachu suit guy into the street like we did to Barney 15 years ago.

  • I don't care what you do to a potato, it still raises my blood sugar. Everything is an ad campaign.

  • wow, if was there, i would totaly Spray paint a Ass crack on the Frog =)

Freeking awsome man, Thats some cool stuff, wish i was there.

Thanks for showing us Man =)

  • You would, wouldn't you. Next time I'll take you along and get footage of that... before they draf you off to the big house :)

  • wow..gr8 footage. thnx so much.

  • Thanks Rock!

  • Awesome! I adore your NYC behind the scenes videos. You are so sweet for letting the ones who are so far away see something like this.

  • Thanks Lanette. It is my pleasure. I hope you and your family enjoy Thanksgiving.

    Love you'uns.

  • Very cool! Thanks for sharing this will all of us!

    Happy Thanksgiving!!!

  • You're welcome. Thanks for watching.

  • thanks for sharing this with us. i love the thanksgiving day parade. it's just doesn't feel like the holidays if i don't watch it. one of these days i'm gonna get down there to watch in person. happy thanksgiving man!!!

  • It's really better in person. You don't have the TV idiots yammering away and you don't get all of the lipsynching you get on TV.

  • This was much more interesting than all the hot air from Washington D.C.!

    Have a happy Thanksgiving!

  • You could fill the politicians with helium and floated them down Broadway and give everybody spears to poke holes in them. That would be a nice celebration.

  • The people going into the snowman...that was...amazing.

and the mascot hello kitty's head wasn't near big enough. Pikachu gets to be properly proportioned, why must they make a bastardization of Hello Kitty.

  • hilarious! XD

  • I think it was an issue of balance for the person inside the costume. The balloon was more accurate. The entry into the snowman was quite bizarre.

  • Nice...

    Have a great Thanksgiving...

  • Thanks so much. Enjoy the turkey.

  • Happy Thanksgiving Phil

  • You too Stu!

  • one of the first!!

well....ok w/e ahhhh i wont be able to go to my local parade....

  • Oh well, in any case, enjoy the commemoration of the relgious zealots' betrayal of the Indians.
