  • who would look for a key where they didn't drop it idiot

  • let me say this..Venus is 875F, Mars -78F, Jupiter's moons -250F...to get an ape that evolved on Earth you needed moderate temperatures say 0-150F...and that took 4.5 billion years...to get a smart alien you need a situation that is better than the Earh's past...I'm not sure it's possibe..and our 23degree tilt helps create seasons..I wonder how many Earth like planets are in the Milky Way galaxy...or were...

  • @johnediamond I think I read somewhere that there was about 100 billion earth like planets just in the milky way, and there is an estimated of 1 trillion earth like planets in the Andromeda galaxy, which is the closest galaxy to us.

  • Gah! The camera angles are too inconsistent!

  • I have dreams of black holes :) and moons and course I remember my dreams that's why I write down my dreams

  • Yay now there's colored light bulbs :) now there's red, blue, green light bulbs but Kaku Einstein is Boss of Science, Physics :( since einstein began physics, science

  • Wireless routers are complicated but I like it just study networking if you want to that's what I'm doing

  • Do you want to speak to me about life? I'm asking you because your older then me from young guy to man, adult

  • Thank you Michio Kaku for talk, i wach meny your videos and even i dont know about physics so much as you i understand basick because you can explain about physics by easy and understanding way for ordinary people, Thanks!

  • Dr. Michio Kaku is a genius!

  • I don't agree that a type II or III would try to communicate to us on their level - that would be stupid if they wanted to maximize their odds of contacting a type 0. They would most likely try to think like a type 0 to reach us. In other words to communicate with ants we wouldn't talk to them, we would think like the ant and use phermones instead - something on the ant's level.

  • I don't agree with his analogy because ants will never have the capacity to reason, sentient beings have the ability to control their environment to a degree beyond instincts. I better analogy between type 0 and type 3 would be using neanderthal as type 0, using a REASONING species as a bare minimum.

  • @TheUltimateCynic We are only thousands of years more advanced than neanderthals... you must remember for us to go from a rank 0.7 civilization to a 3.0 civilization will take 2 million years from now (minimum). And they wouldn't really care about us... They would simply just step on us, we are just in their way.

  • @daberko120ch Yes, but he's comparing ants to modern humans, of which the former will NEVER evolve the capacity for self-awareness because insects breath through their skins, their sizes are limited and therefore, they will not never have the capacity awareness like humans, let alone solving problems like humans. My analogy compares minimally intellgient human ancestors to their own species 100,000 years later from now.

  • @daberko120ch "And they wouldn't really care about us..." I disagree with this statement. If a civilization evolves from type 0 to type I, they have the capacity to cooperate more with one another than harm one another, and being that we are on a much lower level than they, they would not see us as a threat. " They would simply just step on us, we are just in their way." You make them sound like mindless robots. In the way of what? You make it sound like star wars.

  • @TheUltimateCynic We are in their way of occupying the star system for energy... LOL, you're not using any common sense. If you were 500 thousand times more advanced in technology and brain power. You wouldn't care at all for another civilization because they would do you NO good. Why would you trade with them? They are hogging it, it's easier to just destroy them with a click of a button without harming the resources. See where I'm going? In the future it's still all about resources.

  • @daberko120ch "See where I'm going?" Yeah, nowhere.

  • @TheUltimateCynic I'm sorry I couldn't get through to you, I'm sorry my profession isn't speaking with stupid people. This will obviously be the most reasonable thing that will happen. We are a waste of space and should be destroyed in order to get to more energy. Smarter species still have greed. That's how life works. Greed is prosperity.

  • @daberko120ch Too much sci-fi channel.

  • @TheUltimateCynic Michio Kaku explained how a 2nd/3rd level consumer always comes out to be the most intelligent. Predators are also violent. Being said I can tell you with utmost confidence that a super-intelligent being will destroy us for their own greed. A 3rd level civilization would be a predator of energy. Full of greed they will try everything to being a theorized rank 4 civilization (super cluster).

  • Were not that too low tech. Quoted: "The device was trillions of times more powerful per unit volume in comparison to the material in the sun's fusion core (about 25% of the sun's radius) and it would take about 10 million years for an equivalent volume of the sun's core to produce the same amount of energy as came from within the bomb's casing."

Thats the Tsar Bomb at Half yield. We HAVE such power... trouble is, we dont know how to use it on anything but blowing things up.

  • WORLD RECORD: BIGGEST WIND TURBINE

    Visit: windturbinecarriedbywheels.weebly.com

ZERO-NOISE from gears and generators since they are sealed underground.

SAVES THE BIRDS AND BATS since slow-moving.

DOES NOT OCCUPY A WIDER LANDSCAPE since the turbine can be very tall.

MAY BE LOWER-COST since it may use timber and other cheaper things.

ELUDES HURRICANE FORCE since the V-type folding blades automatically close.

    NO FIRE since well-cooled.

HELPS WIND-ENERGY COMPANIES since it is FREE FOR ALL.

  • that awkward moment the time on the video is 9:11

  • we are nothing but sub atomic particles relative to the entire multiverse, perhaps we make up another huge being, perhaps all these universes are somebody elses atoms.

  • The keyword to this multiverse idea is "we believe". It's not a fact, not something proven. It's just what some of the cosmologists believe. It's not science.

  • Aliens make more sense than god.

  • I wouldnt say that it is arrogant to think that aliens would give us technology, i would have to call it more along the lines of wishfull thinking. And I wouldnt go as far to say that we are ants compaired to them, though I do get his thought process, I would have to say more like cave men compaired to a type 3 civilization. You know, so un advanced that we have just discovered fire.

  • 8:30 So what hes saying is everything is practically infinite? With the alternate dimensions and everything else. So we aren't a tiny pinpoint, we are essentially... nothing. This shit is insane to wrap your head around, but that's why I love Muchio.

  • Im smarter than this guy lol.

  • Michio Kaku VS Niel deGrasse WHO IS SMARTER???

  • Until the tail end there where he said the "Only way to explain this," this was the most coherent, beleiveable stuff I've heard him say. You realize that he argues against himself with that? Frankly I think this guy needs to shut his hole about a lot of stuff he talks about, too much conjecture, with very little actual reasonable basis for what he says. And too much, "belief," with not enough, "Idea."

  • This is old because recently he said in the next 50 years we will make contact or some BS, I think he just says that because he'll probably be dead and no one can call him out on it lol.

I love him though, what a genius.

  • @Consolized SHUT THE FUCK UP BITCH, YES HE WILL HE IS SMART, SO HE WILL BE ALIVE

  • @Consolized What is BS?

  • @ALSPEHEIR BS is bullshit.

  • ahh, 240p, we meet again

  • guys, have you heard of creatures called Jin?? read about them and you will know that a parallel realm really exist...

Jin as an Arabian name for those (beings) who speak through humans during the exorcism...this is serious and real...

  • I agree with Michio totally

  • If aliens visiting the Earth really is the "third rail" of science, why is that? It's because there's no evidence to back it up.

All a scientist has to do is show evidence of that, and he'd become the most famous scientist EVER, winning every applicable scientific prize, having his choice of prestigious positions, and ending up in every history book. That's a pretty strong incentive for doing even unpopular research!

  • @Willam2 Well, it's not that easy. Even if a single scientist (or, single team of scientists) finds this empirical evidence of extraterrestrial visitors, that's not the end of it. Science doesn't work like that. We would then need multiple teams of scientists all around the world to verify what the first observed, and only THEN can it be considered a valid theory, by which time the original scientist could have died off. Not to mention that said scientist would first need to get funding.

  • Shows like Ancient Aliens aren't science.

  • on what basis does Dr. Kaku assume that the aliens are much more advanced than human civilization?

  • @Gemparkzz He assumes that because the universe is somewhere on the order of 15 billion years old. Our particular galaxy is something along the order of 7 billion years old, less than half the age of the galaxy as a whole. He also assumes that if a civilization is advanced enough to colonize the galaxy or multiple galaxies they are much more advanced than we are. We have barely sent humans into space, the moon is as far as we've been personally and Mars is as far as we can feasibly go right now.

  • world government bitches...THE SOONER THE BETTER

  • The chances for having life elsewhere in the universe are almost 100% (almost :P), the chances of them being sentient however, are dramatically lower, the chances of them being more advanced than us are lower still and the chance that they are advanced enough to reach us (if it is even possible) are slim to none.I'm sure Michio Kaku is a great physicist - but he is also a MAJOR media whore and will say just about anything to get some more screen time. take it with a pinch of salt...

  • @eran5005

Hahahaha, you sound like a Theist. This "human superiority" thing has to stop. I agree with you on two points - it is almost certain that life exists elsewhere in the universe, and it is unlikely that it will reach us before we are all fried by Sol. But how could you even BEGIN to presume that the odds are in favor of us being the most advanced species in the universe? That is an extreme leap of faith. Neither you nor I can comprehend the vastness or complexity of the universe.

  • @TheSonorama21 First of all, i don't understand what i did to make you call me in this horrible name "theist" XD 2nd - i don't have any "human superiority" thing, i'm just saying that because the odds are against any life developing to be sentient (i mean, look how many life form are here on earth, and how many of them are sentient?) that the chances of them being advanced are less than the chances of them not being advanced - get it?

  • @eran5005

Please define your version of 'sentient life,' as the classical definition would include many of the Earth-based species we've discovered. Considering we don't even know everything about this planet we've been living on, I think it is very unreasonable and arrogant to claim that all other beings in this incomprehensibly large and ever-expanding universe are more likely to be less advanced rather than more advanced relative to us. That is why I compared you to a theist.

  • @TheSonorama21 Are you insisting on purpose not to understand me?the concept i'm explaining is very simple, simple math really.the chances of life evolving is very small (we have so many planets that cumulatively its almost 100%)the chance of them being sentient (building spaceships kind of sentient alright?) is even smaller - now we two options - they can be more or less advanced than us, and considering the aforementioned calculations - they are more likely to be less advanced.

  • @eran5005

I'm quite sincere. As far as the likelihood of evolution on other planets (which as we both know would be the starting point for any advanced civilization,) all you've given me is your word that "the chances of life evolving is very small." What I'm trying to convey is that given the diversity and sheer size of our surrounding space and the apparent insignificance of our solar system within it, the odds really are in favor of sentient life existing on other planets.

  • @TheSonorama21 Well, this proves conclusively that you were not even trying to listen to anything i said so far - since this is EXACTLY what i am saying as well.

Personally, i am positive without a doubt that other life exist somewhere else in the universe! what i am not sure about is the stuff the Kaku is so casually talks about - how these aliens are for sure so much more advanced, talking about his ridiculous Sci-fi "society classification".

  • @eran5005

You never once mentioned about his 'type 1, 2 and 3' during this conversation. Much like yourself, I don't really respect his classification system as he's drawing the examples straight out of sci-fi and assuming that still-undiscovered societies will conform to these types rather than being a 'type 0' like us. You seem to be assuming that even sentient life is unlikely to exist, which is a claim I take issue with. I find it quite hard to believe that we are the most advanced beings.

  • @TheSonorama21 oh dear..how many times will i have to say this?? I am not assuming anything! I only tried to illustrate that this confidence Kaku has in his Sci-fi assumptions are not necessarily based on any science, reason or professional methods of thinking - Rather, they are based on his own wishful thinking and his love and pursuit of any lame excuse to be on TV, I'm not saying he is wrong, just that his conclusions did not stem from proper science.

  • @eran5005

Alright, point taken. Your first post was pretty ambiguous in certain respects, especially this part:

"... the chances of them being sentient however, are dramatically lower, the chances of them being more advanced than us are lower still..."

    Please forgive my muddled interpretation.

  • @TheSonorama21 No problem dude, i guess its as much my fault as well...

  • @TheSonorama21 Just in response to your last sentence there, I agree that the odds of us being the most advanced beings in the universe are extremely low but on the other hand, one species has to be the first intelligent species to evolve. I think of it like buying a raffle ticket. Let's say 7 billion tickets are raffled off, only 1 for each person on earth. When the winner is drawn, your chances of winning are so low they are virtually zero but someone has to win, it could very well be you.

  • @jones81381

While I don't see a raffle draw as a very appropriate analogy, I'll concede that at this point no one can say with complete certainty whether or not we're the first to reach this height of intelligence. Given the previous duration of the universe and the almost incalculably large number of solar systems, I find it highly unlikely that our relatively young civilization is the most advanced in the entire universe.

  • @jones81381

It seems that my response didn't further prove my point or add anything to what you said, but still... I can't really argue with those odds...

  • @eran5005

If aliens exist then there will be various stages of their intelligence and he is talking about the more advanced. Kaku is not speaking as if he knows but is speculating about how technology could advance. He is simply a visionary. We need visionaries to drag this race out of it's current negative hole. Tell me, why do you judge him so, is it because he incredibly successful? He is intelligent and articulate and a good ambassador for science. If you don't like it, then don't watch.

  • @nkwood25 i'm sure he is a brilliant man, a successful scientist and a man of vision - but he is also a media whore who will just about do anything to be on any ridiculous show just for 2 more minutes on the air. Speculations are lovely, Science and facts are a little better.

You can believe me or not believe me when i tell you that i'm not the least bit jealous of him, i don't really care.

  • This guy is so smart

  • scientists have found life on mars. there are aliens. next they are trying to find water. aliens do exist.

  • Would you motherfuckers shut up about aliens?

God damn, OUR planet is on fire and going broke, who cares about somebody else's? >:V

  • Now I want to rent Antz

  • Mind blowing

  • @genevieve8989 ALL religious people are dumb as fucks

  • @bryoneill11 Right... And your foul mouthed insult was so not worded on the level of your average stupid hick.

  • Did I just see the world "Astrophysician?"

  • this shatters my entire multiverse!

  • we have found things now that might have gone faster than the speed of light.

  • He has very open mind and i agree with him about Einstein and speed of light limit. Einstein was genius but he was also man. So FTL can be possible we just need to discover it. For example spacetime itself can expan way faster then the speed of light.

  • I'm so tired of the comments talking about the NWO and him being an alien, just go back on your Schizophrenia medication you morons.

  • @tj203 You and me both.

  • @tj203 hes reptilian!

  • @tj203 You funny man made my day ha!!

  • @tj203 lol...I know, NWO is a really stupid concept, but when I see people talking like nutz about NWO, my first thought is a troll - if I regard most of them as being serious about their claims, things get depressing very quickly. Not only do we have to watch out for terrorist, but also conspiracy nut cases - I don't know if we're going to make it as a civilization.

  • knuckle heads...it's more about imagination than algebra or smarts...you might have flying giraffes with shark like teeth..imagine lower gravity 18 foot tall goats on two legs...imagine mega octopus' 80 foot long...the Earth is 73% N and 21% Oxygen..imagine the same ratio in a world with a third less gravity...the creatures would be taller and thinner...less gravity pushing down on you..or greater gravity and you might have 4 ft tall humanoids..more weight pushing down on them..

  • I just really want to see this guy high he would give himself the biggest mindfuck haha

  • His Downfall is that he tries to relate with us. Like explaining algebra to your dog. It's difficult.

  • This guys knows the truth about aliens.

  • I like this guy. He would be an awesome teacher :)

  • I like this guy. He would be an awesome teacher :)

  • This guy is an alien

  • at 4:50 I think that is the voice of ABC in the eighties. awesome voice. The best was the "Street Hawk" introduction.

  • Imagine at one point we found their methods of broadcasting, what if they had some sort of TV? Imagine we would have companies who would now start offering "alien channels", so you can watch alien TV xD

  • I like his way of communication. He tries to communicate in rather simple terms so we, like me, can relate to the concepts. I don't see the regular ego-maniac attitude I have seen with other scientists. He seems to be nice and seems to respect people that ask him questions that are way below his intelligence level. He seems to be very patient in this way. Thanks Dr. Kaku! Even a retard, like me, can relate to your explanations!!! 5*'s

  • The worst is using metaphor.

  • No beginning introduction theory is wrong because it lack common sense.

You would look where you dropped it.

  • @Joshuaxiong2 Not necessarily bro. I know that when I drop something, it usually bounces or rolls far away from where I dropped it to begin with. His concept is that they aren't looking in the right way. He said that it doesn't make sense to look in the way we tend to do (by the light pole) when we know we dropped the key elsewhere. He said just what you said. It DOESN'T make sense. In this case he isn't wrong. It's the concept.

  • they are now postulating that Europa has fish twice the size of whales...it's a moon of Jupiter...

  • @TheRacer909 nah its not that, the universe is so big and you think we are the only ones? its the other things he says which makes him stupid, not in this video

  • I could watch this guy all day. He would make an awesome teacher

  • This man is a genius. Unbelievable intellect beyond most of history's elite scientists. I wish we could get an fMRI scan of his brain.

  • michio kaku= STUPID FUCK!

  • @SpiritMolecule1 dont be a boxed minded arrogant loser

  • @Khoario he is the closeminded loser, im not talking about what he says in this video, im talking about him in general, a closeminded stupid idiot he is.

  • @SpiritMolecule1

    u r the true STUPID F**K

    do some physics problems, dumbo!

  • @kavabond1 im not talking about his physics knowledge, im talking about him in general, he says a lot of really stupid shit you dumb fuck

  • @SpiritMolecule1 Why stupid fuck like you is here giving comment?

  • @Tonkeliponkeli im smarter than you fucktard, a lot smarter so STFU!

  • @SpiritMolecule1 This wasn't about who is smarter. This was about a kid who is here making comments to video that he doesn't like. Idiot.

  • @SpiritMolecule1 Sorry, about a man he doesn't like. I'm sure you have better to do than.

  • science is bullshit? hmmm ok

  • Science is bull shit ever time they find something they can't explain they just brush it aside. There r millions of people seeing these UFOs n not one of these so cold astrophysics want to even look at it. I don't think UFOs are aliens but because the way move r against physic. But these people need to study these things

  • How are they(aliens) reassembling our transmissions, sent by our equipment? Example= Kaku uses satellites & internet as an example, yet you have to think that we have the computers sending the messages out and computers on the receiving end putting them back together, what equipment is being used to receive what is sent out? If I have a phone and dial numbers at random but there is'nt a phone on the other end, what good is it? Same thing applies to smoke signals, telegraph or talking.

  • holy shit michio kaku is born in the year when the aliens crashed in rosswell....

  • Dr. Michio Kaku

I think he is next Einstein

    E=M(C)2

  • Comment removed

  • Astrophysics are so crazy 'cause the universe is a fucking mess!!

  • My mind = Blown

  • Theory of everything.. Michio Kaku you've done it again!

  • THIS MANS A GENIUS ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

  • I used to be a physicist but then I took a string to the knee

  • @vic9050 U PEOPLE ARE EVERYWHERE !!!! :(

  • @vic9050 WHAT IS THE ORIGIN OF THIS JOKE? AND WHAT IS THE JOKE ITSELF?? PLEASE TELL ME?!?!

  • @Fupper16 I used to ask these questions like you, then I took a skyrim to the knee

  • Comment removed

  • @vic9050 u mean arrow?

  • @vic9050 sad for you

  • I see a hidden message in this video, the length is 9 11.... mind=blown ;)

  • @DJafferiK dude shut up, there's a million videos on youtube with the time 9:11

  • @zZG3n0ciDeZz if you couldn't tell, i was kidding, retard

  • Michio kaku has Jackie Chan's looks, Einstein's genius and a freaking ability to dumb stuff for people who don't have a clue!

  • Aliens will not give us technology as we would cause destruction to the universe. We can barely run this planet and we do it on the brink of a nuclear war. They might visit us when we prove we can operate peacefully and I don't see that happening anytime soon =S

  • @Manybadgers I hardly think that. Even saying humans are capable of harming even a hair (just as an example) of the universe, is an arrogant assumption. And I also doubt they would visit us again to give us tech when we've "proven ourselves". There are aliens out there, i'm willing to believe, but as a civilization trying to survive in the universe, we are pretty much on our own, no allies.

  • I've found that, as an atheist, i'm pretty much obliged to believe that there are intelligent lifeforms in space. I mean: we see how easily life can form, all through natural processes. Compare that to the vastness of space, and the incomprehensible number of exoplanets that are found in it, "aliens" of some sort are pretty much bound to exist 0o (But no, I personally have found no evidence to support that aliens have ever visited earth. All I'm, saying, is that they most likely exist)

  • Although there are trillions of planets out there I think humans are the only ones cuz i is special!

  • If only Michio Kaku knew God... this man is so off track.

  • @MaIcoImZieI He's only theorizing. That's why he is a theoretical physicist. Someone could say your theory on God is way off, but I'm not one to say. They're just theories

  • @Michiganette What you should realise is that when he does these interviews, he tries to explain things like to children, because thats what most of our minds are like compared to his. Its just another way to compare how far behind we would be from a type 3 or 4 civ.

  • Jimmy Page and Michio Kaku looks the same and

THEY ARE BOTH AWESOME AND KICK ASS ON WHAT THEY ARE GOOD AT

  • so what if our universe + all the other millions of universes thought to exist make up particles smaller than 1 string in another universe

  • Comment removed

  • So...when are we going to pop?

  • @TheCheeseTheory In a trillion years.

  • The man is a very smart guy! things are now starting to look good when it comes to science and our chances of leaping into deep space

  • aliens maybe realized that the only way theyll be destroyed is by another more powerful evil civilization & so in an infinite multiverse comes infinite civilizations hence inevitably all civilizations will probably be destroyed by another eventually so theyve realized the most moral thing to do is 2 focus on preventing contact with these evil civilizations in other universes so they help those civilizations beginning to travel interuniversal yet since were primitive they dnt have time for us

  • This guy is my freaking hero.

  • @Michiganette It's even dumber because imagine if WE found "ants" in another galaxy or something - we'd be fucking PSYCHED. We wouldn't be going "aw just ants here, whatevs"

  • Isn't it a shame that this video is viewed less than a million times while Justin Bieber's baby is viewed more than 600 million times?

Nothing against the kid but that just makes me feel sad!

  • 100 people never graduated from elementary school.

  • (This comment has been removed by the U.S. Government)

  • @betsingerb dude what did you say to get it removed by the government?

  • Why haven't he won a Nobel Prize in physics yet? He is a genious!!!

  • I had a thought sirs...Imagine humans are a fluke...imagine their is are a google life forms throughout the Universe however their is only one intelligent group, humans...is it a possibility that we are a 1 in 7 trillion trillion chance evolutionary result....there are many yet only one hardcore beast...us...or there are are many above us and that is a possibility too...

  • Neutrinos can travel faster than light

  • He must have used some plastic surgeries.

  • ill be preaching this stuff to my classmates, so i could seem smart than i actually am

  • @TheSyrupMan Try to impress them with your grades ;)

  • @TheSyrupMan I agree.

  • Everytime I see this guy I can't stop thinking of that image of him ice skating with those tight black clothes.

  • Jimmy Page??? Is that you?

  • my own opinion is that Revelations in the bible is actually a prelude to a huge battle between agressive aliens which were seen as demons, other benevolent aliens seen as angels, and us...this makes sense...with 250 billion solar systems in the Milky Way, that last period of Earth makes sense as seen by the guy who wrote Revations in the bible...it's going to be a fight like no other...that's my hunch..

  • He's the asian version of Carl Sagan.

  • dude we need smart guys like this as our president... not these idiotic scrubs that tell people what they want to hear in order to get votes...

  • @Workin0nit Unfourtunately politics is a popularity contest. On the plus side, ten thousand idiots is a lot better than one genuis.

  • Michio Kaku for president!

  • this guy is so interesting id love to talk to him. he is great at putting things in laymans terms.

  • 240p we meet again.......

  • I really do like this guy only thing is the more ive listened to him the more ive heard him say scientists thought this but now they think this, scientists thought they knew this was true but now they think this is true. Only problem with that is how do they know that in 100 years time what they are saying now will be thought of as wrong to the physicist community. Again i do enjoy listening but you sometimes have to take things that are said with a huge pinch of salt so to speak.

  • @bumcheeks101

    wise words from bumcheeks101

  • RIP old science channel documentaries.

  • Can someone tell me what 'Hyrdrogen Frequencies' are, do different elements have different frequencies and why?
