Electric cars will most likely dominate the market starting in about 2010. The G-Wiz is a poor example. I've had a ride in a very fast electric car, the X1 prototype, and it reaches 60mph in a mere 3 seconds!
Once it's available, I'll probably buy the Zap-X Crossover made by Zap Motors. 350 miles on a single charge, and costs about one cent per mile to drive. It also reaches 60mph in 4.9 seconds!

I understand that Reva is not a car that wins over everyone. if any manufacturer could try and create more affordable, economical and non polluting vehicles, it would be fantastic. Reva showed this possibility, something that the biggest car makers in the world did not. There are companies today that are working on advanced electric technologies. Hopefully, we'll have more electric cars to choose from tomorrow. Till then,I think every effort in that direction needs encouragement.

I don't understand how the g-wiz won the endurance race. The diesel merc or the hybrid probably had the best mpg ratings and should have destroyed the g-wiz. Fuel Cells are a HORRIBLE idea. Hydrogen is a BOMB. It doesn't burn, like Gasoline does. It EXPLODES. Furthermore, the amount of energy it takes to create hydrogen, with no energy loss, is PRECISELY the same as you'd get from burning it. As it is, there's incredible energy waste. It's a terrible thing to do with electricity, making hydrogen.

The problem with that last test they did is that, while the other cars will only take a few minutes at a pump to refuel, when that G-Wiz runs out it'll take eight HOURS to charge back up again. It may be inexpensive to charge up, but time is money, and most people can't afford to be stranded for eight hours every forty kilometers or so.

even fossil fuel power plants are far more efficient that than petrol vehicles. Let alone the fact that power is also produced by other zero emission sources. ie wind, hydro, solar and even nuclear. . .
