Travelled there once in 2009 and 2010. Yep, hotel and food prices are out of the roof. Had to stay in a hostel/hotel, brought my own food and managed to make a good one night stay there.
Spend £15 on a simple burger king meal.
But it is a city you have to visit, and the harbour and peace of the place is simply beautiful.
Stockholm has more to offer though and is beautiful in both winter and summer.
