good competent update. but still using the same tweaked 5 speed trans and the same engine with only a slight gain in fuel economy will not be enough when other makers will roll out their newer SUVs. They will probably have more than 6 gears and a huge improvement in power and fuel economy. Same mistake Honda made with the new CIVIC, but with a better outer shell facelift. Honda is gradually sinking.

Get a Mazda CX-5 and NOT the new Honda CRV. With the new Mazda CX-5 at least you know you will be getting the 2.2 litre turbocharged diesel with 400+ Nm or 300 ft pounds. Honda have been using the 5 speed 2.4 for a decade now. It was the best selling back then cos there wasn't a Hyundai ix35, Kia Sportage, Skoda Yeti, Nissan Juke, VW Tiguan last but not least Mazda CX-5 to name a few. I guess after all this time Honda have been spending all the attentionto the ECON button on the new CRV, sad!
