  • I was raised around Travis he became family to me incredibly fast he was a great man and will be missed

  • I had the privilege of serving with SSgt Twiggs. He was my Platoon Sergeant for a short time, but mostly I would like to say that he was a wonderful person and one of the finest Marines I have ever met. My deepest regrets to his family.

  • Thank you , to all of you for your wonderful comments. Twiggs was one of the greatest men I will ever know. His girls and I miss him so very much.

  • Travis was the finest Marine I ever had the pleasure to serve with. He stood out of the crowd. In Marine tradition he lead from the front. He was my fellow Marine, my good friend, and I would call him brother. Travis will be missed by me and my entire family, as foot print he made in my life cant be filled by another.

  • This man showed me how to lead Marines. SSGT. Twiggs was better than everyone; he was the best. His death and all the deaths of the 2/6th Marines in Fallujah will always and forever be in my thoughts and my heart forever until the day I die. 2/6 fought and protected the city of Fallujah and Saqlawiyah with honor and pride like the Marine Corps expected from its grunts. SSGT. Twiggs; I cannot forget you and never will I forget the man that you were; I will forever cherish your memory.

  • Thank you mbocian84, bthor76, isitdiana, singledadorlando for your comments. Travis and Will were my cousins, and they were wonderful guys to grow up with. Thanks for your words, they help with the hurt we all feel still.

  • I didn't know Travis but I did know his older brother Will. It was a tragic end to two brothers. Will was a good guy with demons of his own.

  • His story was in the Times Picayune (New Orleans) today. The rest of the story though had to be found online....the end is tragic and heartbreaking.

  • Travis was the finest marine I ever served with and a great friend. He will be missed. Robert
