Petrucci does not use sweep at the beginning of the song. It's much more complicated than that he uses alternate picking. So its good if you don't teach it the wrong way man. !!!!

@igimysterio focus on your basics before you try to sweep pick. if you try to sweep pick before you understand some important things that you can't learn in just one year, it's like putting on very heavy armor before you learn to swing a sword; you might learn it but it won't be right and your motion will not be practiced.

Nice lesson matey! But i think that the intro is played with all alternative picking, atleast petrucci plays it that way live =)
