the problem is there are no "powerful" programs for linux for example i have not been able to find a decent replacement for AutoCAD in Linux, there is VaryCAD but is not very powerful.

Uhh.. so you basically insulted everybody who runs a wireless router. Some routers (especially DLink) use linux as a base for their operating system. See List_of_Linux_devices on Wikipedia.
