What Bill and his ilk are afraid of is that information will leak out during a trial that puts the US govmt. in the spotlight for aiding and abbeting the "terrorists" like in the first bombing of the twin towers in the nineties where the tryal brought out the FACT that the FBI provided the bomb material to blow up the towers.

Manhatin, Good point about the propaganda issue. Personally I'm glad we're trying these guys in our civilian justice system. If we cannot rely on our civilian courts to prosecute crimes of this magnitude then we have truly become a police state, and I'd hate to think we've come to that.

Terrorists are not the primary audience of this trial, what's left of the sane world is. The world will see that there is still a pocket of sanity and it's in this country. March the 9/11 suspects in front of a military court and the suspects will claim to the world that being tried by a military court proves they are a legitimate military and political force. Do we want to be the counrty that enables that ? Try them in civilian coiurt and their propagana machine takes a huge hit.
