although, he's a little off tune, his voice is processed heavily on recordings. his sound doesn't really come as natural as you'd all think. learn about music and production before you criticize... you'll seem more intelligent.

he's a very breathy singer, and all the little nuances and things he does on records and all can't be picked up on a recording like this one. i've been listening to deftones since the "adrenaline" album, and i've seen him progress extremely well. I was actually saying all the people that were shit talking him should learn more about things of that nature, before they say he's not doing a good job. so, relax. i was supporting him, "dumb fuck."

You're right, for the naysayers...99.9% of vocal recordings that sound great are heavily eq'd, compressed, and processed via vocal effects....just like an electric guitar sounds like shit unplugged vs. hooked though a nice Mesa rig with ample pedals and processors. It is hard to get a good "dry" sound. Chino sounds great when he has come good reverb and eq and his vocals especially. Sounds very pure here though which is also very cool, and to be taken at face value.
