At the end of Birth by sleep Ven's heart merges with Sora's after being put in castle oblivion it has been very damaged and needs to heal this grants Sora the use of the keyblade Aqua is in the dark realm with Ansem the wise her keyblade and armor with Terra-Xehanort. Terra's mind and body is trapped in the lingering sentiment also known as his armor which Sora later battles. Continued in next comment.

Kairis is released to her body and Ven's heart is passed down to Roxas (noting the drastic similarities) so Roxas is supposedly the only nobody with a heart and true emotions. and kh3 is going to be about sora bringing them together. if you know the gamecon tralier it says that he would be the one to stop the darkness and bring them together.
