Michael Douglas! hardly compares with worthy recipiants like Hitchcock, Cagney. Welles, Wilder ect. who next ? Arnie. the AFI missed Mitchum, Newman, Brando ,Hepburn while they were alive.

I mean him producing One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest was a great achievement. But movies like Fatal Attraction, Wall Street, War of the Roses, Basic Instict, The American President, Traffic, and Romancing the Stone. Good pictures But I don't know if they should get you a lifetime award.

I really like him, too. Thing is, I didn't realize how much I liked Michael Douglas until AFTER he won his Best Actor Oscar!

Michael Douglas dosn't seem to be that great of an actor, as he doesn't have a... Schitch let's say.

But that's just it... He seems like an everyman. An average Joe. That's why it's so interesting to watch him on Camera. He can go from a man just wanting to buy a soda for 50 cents and ready to tear a store apart to get it, to a power hungry stock broker.

By far, one of the greater living actors in America, and deserves this special.
