We spend billions fighting forest fires, people die. Resorces wasted, millions of tons of polution. The forests are overgrown, we have had fifty years of improper forest managment. Forest managment should be left up to the pros. our nations logging industry.

Logging companies do not "thin" forests out; they cut down mature, FIRE RESISTANT trees because that is what they can actually make money off of. I do know that CO2 has an exact presure temperature relationship, the oceans either absorb or release CO2 depending on temp. It's called Henrys law, and it is absolute.
CO2 levels rise as temps rise, not the other way around.
Henry's Law does not apply to carbon dioxide because it only applies to solutions that do NOT react chemically with the gas being dissolved. I suggest you actually read up on the matter.

How about a low tech solution? Wood pellets. Pellet burning stoves and furneses are very efficiant with low emissions. Pellets can be made from any type of combustable material, even that sage brush that is burning in california right now could be harvested, ground up and formed into pellets to heat houses.

I understand the possibly inevitable disastrous affects of "global warming", but I'm somewhat concerned with those directly or indirectly involved exploiting the vulnerabilities of consumers/citizens around the world...It's possible that WE may be taken advantage of by policy makers/heads of state/certain lobbyists, etc. due to our own natural fears...remember Y2K? It's unarguable that this exploitation exists and may occurr again...Knowledge and Critical Thinking is our only Defense...

We spend billions fighting forest fires, people die. Resorces wasted, millions of tons of polution. The forests are overgrown, we have had fifty years of improper forest managment. Our forests are a perfect example of enviromental activism gone wrong, the siara club spends too much time worrying about saving trees and no time thinking about the bigger picture. Forest managment should be left up to the pros. our nations logging industry.

We have had much more than 50 years of improper forest management. Google "forest succession" and actually read about it. Logging causes unnaturally intense forest fires. Logging companies do not "thin" forests out; they cut down mature, FIRE RESISTANT trees because that is what they can actually make money off of. Those trees are replaced by scrub undergrowth, which bursts into flames.

We should create firebreaks now before the fire starts.
States need to work with the logging industry to protect our forests.
We need to try to lesson the impact of global warming, it is a waste of time and resorces to try to stop it.

As glad as I am to see that you don't deny global warming (after a fashion) you need to understand that it is caused by greenhouse gasses and the Greehouse Effect. Not solely, but primarily. And that stuff about managing our forests was ridiculous; forests don't need us to take care of them and they are used to burning down every once in a while. Most mature trees won't burn down, anyway. Fire is natures way of "thinning them out".

I do know that CO2 has an exact presure temperature relationship, the oceans either absorb or release CO2 depending on temp. It's called Henrys law, and it is absolute.
CO2 levels rise as temps rise, not the other way around.

While I agree with you in spirit, after-all The US can't call itself a true democracy if the Prez can be picked by the loser of the popular vote (like Bush). The problem lies in that the electoral college is designated in our constitution. There are only 2 ways to change the constitution and both are very difficult and one (a constitutional convention) is incredibly dangerous. So unfortunately we're stuck with it.

But spokeswoman Laurie Parker said the utility never got a request from the policy center & never gave it any info."
