  • She's lovely. I don't understand the hostility. At least she's trying to do something.

  • The past decade is warmest on record! Stop Monk ton-of-shit! Stop

  • @dwolfcoach The average temperature has gone down in the past 10 years...

  • @LMacleodovich Ha! You're getting your data from? Your comment flies in the face of every data set that have been recorded since 1880. Try reading science, and I suggest you begin w/ almost every scientific organization, public and private, that has written in agreement w/ the consensus view of anthropogenic climate change. If this volume of atmospheric physicists are wrong and LMacleodovich is right, our science is wrong in multiple disciplines. In other words, it's doubtful.

  • I'd suggest checking out Potholer54's channel about Moncktons bullshit.

  • What a hilariously brilliant person he is.

  • The thing here isn't the planet, the planet isn't going anywhere, it will continue to rotate until it achieves a new equilibrium and will continue down the same path of destruction and rebirth until it's eminent death.

The thing here is our civilization. Our activity is forcing a process that should have taken millions of years happen in a century.

    That said, fuck Greenpeace.

  • @kztar621

So perhaps the global warming rant is a displaced rant against the organization of our civilization. Global warming cultists appear to be strongly invested in a fairer social organization than we now have. Ones like Cuba or North Korea come to mind where each person contributes according to their ability and each takes according to their needs; large central governments are there to sort out the minor details

  • Due to several conditions, the Earth's climate wavers between extremes over the course of billions of years.

The "Ice Age" is nothing more than one of these several changes, and is still not over yet. Our civilization has developed during it's decaying stages, and it is the reason we're still here.

Global Warming does exist, it's an unstoppable natural process that humans didn't start, but it's a process that human activity is accelerating in a dramatic way.

  • Lord Monkfish is however knight of jerusalem......lol, the buggers in charge really are clever.

  • Lord Monkfish for one is...not a Lord.

  • @lucidmoment71, I've got to correct you there (for what it's worth), Lord Monkfish might not be a Lord but Monckton is a lord by title. Why don't you check the actual data for yourself instead of getting influenced by those who feel the need to discredit him in any little way they think they can. What's his title got to do with facts that he presents anyway? You should thank him for being brave enough to help balance up the debate. We need to hear from both sides before siding up with anyone.

  • I fell sorry for this women, well meaning but ignorant. Then Monkton comes along and baffles her.

  • These pinheads from Redpeace should attend some Wall St protests and explain to them that carbon taxes to Wall St will set the world thermostat at a perfect temperature. I'm sure they will get their pinheads handed to them

  • The Navier Stokes equations describe air flow with changes in density and temperature. The NS equations are non-linear, and because of that, future states can not be predicted correctly. Pretense to predict non-linear differential equations long times in advance are a hoax.

  • be it warming, cooling, up or down in frequency and severity of 'active' weather, of sea ice extents, etc, there's a 100% chance of weather. So, I think Monkton and others' motivation is in the good thing they have going and they got those interests to defend with as much intensity as the interest warrants.

  • O.K. so the climate has always been changing and the biosphere's changing conditions have caused mass extinctions. adaptations of life got us here - tho this by no means serves as a creation story or myth (nor replaces the Judeo-Christian) - it must cause some reevaluation of a peoples purpose in the face of change. just what campaign is Monkton on?

  • Even one of the biggest scientist opponents, Physicists Richard Muller, now concedes that the data, according to his own studies is overwhelming.

    current[.]com/technology/93511662_the-scientific-finding-that-settles-the-climate-change-debate[.]htm

  • It's too easy for an intellectual like Monckton to argue against the uneducated Greenies. You have to feel sorry for them. It just goes to show, if you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything.

  • He clowns these green red useless idiots

  • its Sacha Baren Cohen

    /watch?v=w833cAs9EN0

  • @GH0STR1D3R199 your an idiot.

  • Bravo...

  • Total domination. Shows how ignorant this woman is, and all the dumb pussy liberal commie hippie fucks.

  • @turkzil and how much do you know about global warming? please enlighten me. i expect a total analysis of data including, but not limited to, CO2 levels, sea levels, temperature variations, ozone levels. i want to know about pollution run off from farms and their potential harm to the environment. i want to know how the quality of air we breathe and atmosphere we live under has changed due to chemical exhaust. then i want to know whether environmental harm reduction is worth it. thanks a bunch!

  • wow - bunch of sheeps

  • below: idiots

  • @BobbyJBobby and @loodwig - two people trying to act smart but are actually the dumb ones. This guy is NOT Sacha Baron Cohen. Good job at falling for the spoof video on Reddit! :D

  • Just so you guys all know, Lord Monckton is in fact Sacha Baren Cohen. As in Borat. As in Bruno. As in Ali G. He is satirising, and you guys by saying he makes sense have revealed yourselves to be quite deluded...

  • @BobbyJBobby I'm shocked as to how many people don't know that. I think his facade is furthered by the mendacity of environmental zealots.

Also, a funny aside is that when you cite his references, what he's stating is false: sea ice levels have dropped precipitously in the last 30 years. Making stuff up about the environment is harmful to a solution, regardless your side of the debate.

I personally believe we have bigger problems that should take precedent.

  • @BobbyJBobby Good try, you almost got me. In fact Sacha Baren Cohen is the reporter.

  • @nathaninparis that was a farce, he is a real person. Look him up on Wikipedia. The joke was that he is so crazy that one would think that he is a poe.

  • I was one of the sheep that thought that global warming was real...now I can see it is a massive scam ..basically to raise massive carbon tax's....well done Lord Monkton...you really do make alot of sense.Fukushima which is ongoing right now and is the most serious problem that we have at the moment..poisoning our earth for 100,000's of years......wake up and do your own research people ...Club of Rome go to hell.

  • Have any alarmists actually taken a step out of their ego for a moment to consider that the world has been warmer than it is now without our influence?

  • "you're talking about a planet without global warming, I'm talking about yakway 4"

  • monkton rocks! GW is bs a big ass waste of money

  • Tell it to the white children who the anti-white "greens" want to make an extinct life-form.

Africa for the Africans,Asia for the Asians, white countries for EVERYBODY!

White genocide advocates do not have any moral authority to be lecturing their fellow white citizens about "intolerance" or "hate".

Why do we put up with this? Anti-racist is just a codeword for anti-white.

  • nsidc.org images/arcticseaicenews/20110906_Figure3.png

  • watch?v=hl2lShU6zD0

I recommend listening to what the scientists say and not this guy. I understand though that a lot of people unquestioningly soak up the falacies that monckton spreads because it fits into their ideology.

  • watch?v=PTY3FnsFZ7Q

  • Climate change: Hopefully, one day, the perpetrators and supporters of this global hoax will appear in court for crimes against humanity. At best they are self serving criminals, seeking power, control and wealth at the expense of the people they profess to protect. At worst they are pure evil.

  • @stonem001 So you can't stand up to the facts that he puts forward. Otherwise you wouldn't have to rely upon attacking his person. Also he is a qualified mathematician who participates in gathering scientific data. The people who we should trust our future to are informed and honest individuals regardless of their social class.

  • @DistinctiveBlend Back it up. Monckton defends his beliefs with facts instead of demagoging his way through life as you apparently do.

  • @gnomesrule19 well then why don't you take a closer look at those facts? watch?v=fbW-aHvjOgM

btw I'm pretty sure he's not a mathematician. In fact I'm pretty sure he has no scientific credentials what so ever. Though he does feel the need to lie about it, like claiming that he was the scientific advisor of thatcher.

  • lol Monckton is such a tool. Leading his sheep to slaughter.

In the end all you can do is laugh at how f**ked we are.

  • Did she know when Gore was VP, he did nothing for genuine environmental problems, such as the dissemination of DU, nanotechnology and GMOs? And throughout the years he flogged “carbon polluters,” he & his family aided & profited from an oil company on a grand scale. Gore’s political influence enabled Occidental Petroleum Co to acquire oil-drilling rights over 47,000 acres of Elk Hills reserve in CA. The sale = largest quantity of public land to be turned over to a private co. in US history.

  • This lady is a lost sheep. Lost sheep should NOT attempt to spar with armed shepherds who know what they are talking about LOL

  • Factual my ass

  • haha oh dear monkton......

"the majority of scientists accept AGW"

monkton - "have you spoken to a majority of scientists to know this?"

    asinine reasoning.......

  • @scottpastry its not because he tells them to check university records or other souses when he elaborates, not literally talk to scientists. Yes saying "you haven't checked the majority" however he dosnt mean literally, he goes and check the data itself. Which is quite easily accessible. He even gives a website.

  • @thegreathistorian7 yes its important to check the records monkton cites, because he shows an inability to correctly interpret them himself.

the majority of scientists do indeed accept AGW.

  • Comment removed

  • @scottpastry then what about about over 30,000 scientists who don't support the claim that Co2 s causing this? why are they not allowed to debate this? yes climate change is happening but human Co2 emissions make no difference.

  • @thegreathistorian7 "30,000 scientists"

signatures were collected by means of a mailshot it meant anyone could sign it. And they did. The original list has had 13,000 names removed because they were of cartoon characters such as Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse or were of celebrities such as John Lennon and Elvis Presley.

  • @thegreathistorian7 cont... There is no verification procedure in place meaning that anyone can sign the petition. You'll find all the names on the OISM website, pick some names at random, Google them and see of you can find a scientist amongst them. You'll find labourers, truck drivers, police officers, clerks, plumbers etc but you'll struggle to find the scientists. and the ones you do?? very few are expertise in the field. would you go to a dentist to get your heart checked?? i doubt it.

  • @scottpastry he then elaborates and says there has been no survey. One out of context point made by him does not make everything else he says wrong as you seem to suggest.....

    asinine reasoning....

  • @thegreathistorian7 its asinine to assume one specific criticiism i make towards monkton encompasses my opinion of monktons entire conversation here. but while we are on it, there is plenty more we can discuss about monktons disingenuity.....

  • @scottpastry so his Disingenuousness offends thee? not sincere? lacking candour? So? that dosnt mean that his claims are incorrect.

  • @thegreathistorian7 oh, many of his claims are also incorrect.....

  • @scottpastry he claims that she has not researched her field and she hold s her views based on faith. He claims -in general- that human impact is neglible, when you compare it to other data. For example just google C02 levels in Triassic lulz nothing humans will do will cause irreversible damage to the earth, nuclear holocaust aside.

  • @thegreathistorian7 "For example just google C02 levels in Triassic" you think scientists are in a big conspiracy to hide the fact that Co2 levels were much higher at some stages in the past? and that if it came out, they would have to admit their big scam? the reasons for these phenomena are well documented and well understood. the sun was a few % weaker in the Triassic for one, countering the high Co2 levels. similar Co2 levels now would be much harsher now with our stronger sun.

  • @scottpastry yes buut nothing humans will do will manage to raise C02 levels that high. It will happen naturally or decrease naturally, climate change happens, and humans dont have any impact really at all. The things the woman describes are happening, and have happened before, and will happen again, just look at the medival warm period when vikin g farmed on greenland and the ice age, was this mankinds fault too? Climate change on a much larger scale has happened without man to blame, the same

  • @scottpastry is happening now but on less of a scale, nothing we do can reverse it or change it, you can take temperature from certain parts of the year and say it was the "hottest this and that" and also say its the "coolest this since then" climate change is real and natural, man made climate change because of this evil Co2 to the point at which we have to have a global tax and market for it and i quote the EU commissioner "pool our SOVEREIGNTY" to stop it, is bullshit of the highest order.

  • @thegreathistorian7 that video with the "pool" quote is here: watch?v=-I8M1T-GgRU&feature=relmfu

  • this man is not a peer reviewed scientist and continually demonstrates an inability to correctly interpret data. do not trust a word he says!!

  • she's says she's from Norway, and he says vielen dank, what a dickhead. ignorant prick!

  • @roialblu Vielen dank means thank you very much in german

  • @piecesfsu yeah i know that but she's from Norway, they don't speak German in Norway, they speak Norwegian! So he says goodbye in German to a Norwegian, thinking that Norwegians all speak German. Do you know see the ignorance of the comment he made?

  • He's just making some of this up "the U.N said we couldn't have caused any except the past 20 years".

  • @Arrrz77 absolutely and look how he baffles them with least squares theory, it doesn't matter how good the theory is, its the quality of data that is used. He's just trying to make a point through peoples ignorance.

  • TOLD

  • pwned.

  • go get them Mr Monckton

  • Big up Lord Monckton! A courageous and intelligent man dealing with what is possibly the biggest fraud on humanity the world has ever seen.

  • @critic3001 Lord Mockton argues that he uses LS regression analysis it is only as good as the data that is being put into it, in other words if the good Lord Mockton (who has no experience in modelling) wants to produce data to prove his point, he can. He is using a very simple tactic, ignoratio elenchi, that is he doest address the question on accelerated climate change (this is the science) he's a just being controversial because he needs attention as all of his peers are not validating him.

  • @roialblu peers? monkton has peers? :)

  • Global warming was created by the powers to be as a backup theory to "peak oil" in order for the price to keep going up and petrodollars coming in. Just in case the world finally realizes oil is abundant and not a fossil fuel they need a backup theory to keep oil from dropping to 20 usd a barrel. Oil is created by volcanism.

  • God bless lord Monckton!!

  • Facts mean nothing to these zealots. They are a religious group now. She will go away and keep fighting against climate change which is natural. Idiot.

  • why concerned about climate change now? our planets current environment shifting is bad for us you moron. temp fluctuates based on ocean cycles, it is of no consequence to the validy of mean global temperatures increasing as a result of human co2. the number of "landafalling hurricanes on the united states coast" nice selective choice of words you coward, you don't have the courage to present your vomit for peer review so you compensate by bullying a green peace activist on camera for the idiots

  • @kielrhys "Peer review" is code for censorship. Why don't you check the facts he states rather than using superlatives and pejoratives. This video clearly shows Greenpeace members and their ilk don't care about the science. They belong to a cult. They have faith and that's all that matters to them.

  • @kielrhys Of course he won't submit to peer review because he would be laughed out of the water for his mistakes. He sounds very confident in what he is saying, and for sure he is a very good stage presense, but to anyone who knows the science, well there is a reason why Monckton isn't regarded highly in the scientific community

  • I am reminded of something I once heard Victor Weiskopf say. "If you do not know what you are talking about, then please shut up!"

  • The whole ruse behind Global Warming leading to > Carbon Tax is to eventually use it for "Population Control". May not be now, but it will be in the years to come. The global elite agenda ;)

  • You have to ask yourself "if the earth is as bad as they say" why are we gonna spend trillions to save it from ourselves? Even if we deindustralise every country in the world it would hardly make a difference of 0.005 a degree. is it worth the panic?

So why spend all those trillions for such a small change. ? could it be that Al Gore has huge shares in a carbon credit company in chicago.? And not to mention maurice strong once quoted on record saying isn't it our duty to deindustralise the earth

  • WMO: "In 2010, global average temperature was 0.53°C (0.95°F) above the 1961-90 mean. This value is 0.01°C (0.02°F) above the nominal temperature in 2005, and 0.02°C (0.05°F) above 1998." and "Over the ten years from 2001 to 2010, global temperatures have averaged 0.46°C (0.83°F) above the 1961-1990 average, and are the highest ever recorded for a 10-year period since the beginning of instrumental climate records". "Arctic sea-ice cover in December 2010 was the lowest on record" .

  • Owned !!!

  • Fuck all of u conspiracymakers, man, just because he is eloquent he`s not telling t he truths, there are so many fucking evidences that he is wrong ,just google it up!

  • Just how long can a women stand stand there and be made a fool of ,before she finally admits shes an idiot ? God i feel so sorry her and her family .... When will liberals ever learn , their is what is true and then theirs liberalisim . I will believe green piece before i will believe the truth !!!! LIBERALISM IS TRUELY A MENTAL DISORDER............

  • See a new documented YT critique of Monckton's habitual LIES by an Australian science journalist:

Monckton Bunkum Part 1 - Global cooling and melting ice

    /watch?v=fbW-aHvjOgM&feature=related

Monckton Bunkum Part 2 - Sensitivity

Monckton Bunkum Part 3 - Correlations and Himalayan glaciers

    /watch?v=fpF48b6Lsbo&feature=related

It's absolutely devastating & fully documented.

Monckton is a typical SCAM artist making a lot of money promoting Oil & Coal.

  • This guy should be debating a climatologist who is well-spoken on the matter instead of a "Greenpeace member". It makes him look like the victor by interviewing someone of lesser knowledge. This entire interview is a setup.

  • Neither of them are scientists, but one them are a fraud (monckton)

  • @Kujien is a fraud lol. Look up Potholers videos on monckton.

  • A nice lady, albeit a deluded one. But she's honest enough to admit that her beliefs re AGW are largely a matter of 'Faith'. For so many Greens, this IS the New Religion, I fear. If God Himself were to declare the whole thing a scam, He'd be accused of 'working-for-the-oil-companies'. But Green activists are as ignorant of geo-politics and the maniplation of 'popular' movements as they are of real-world science. It's sad that so many good people should be misled in this way. Wicked, in fact.

  • Lork Monckton is a true hero of logic and science. How dare he confront people with fact, logic and science? Doesnt he know that global warming has nothing to do with science? LOL

  • hahaha!!! this was funny! the Lord owned that activist with just a bit of clear thinking and common sense!

  • Monckton has more intelligence in one brain cell than all the legions of Gaia Groupies on the planet.

Okay - just one little question for all you woefully deluded Greenies out there:

Given that the Earth's climate is one of THE most complex non-linear systems imaginable, AND that no-one yet pretends to know ALL of the factors involved (let alone assign a weighting to them), how can ANYONE 'model' it with sufficent accuracy on a computer to 'forecast' anything ?

    They can't.

    Grow up !

  • @marvinc999 No one knows 'ALL' the factors contributing because they change over time. Climate is influenced by volcanic activity, atmospheric static etc. None of these can be calculated with exact accuracy as to when they will occur. No one has ever claimed to make a specific "MODEL" of the climate because it's practically impossible unless you could see the future. What we scientists do is make 'PREDICTIONS' based on REAL DATA and RESEARCH and use PROBABILITY to PREDICT a POSSIBLE scenario.

  • @brianoc10

Then please inform the IPCC officials, and all those crass politicians. I'm afraid that some (if not many) of the 'scientists' involved in this scam have done little to enhance the reputation of their calling by (inter alia) falsifying and suppressing real-world data, or stamping their feet like spoilt children when anyone seeks to challenge their improbable thesis. And as to the future, ANYTHING is 'possible'. But we don't need the Michael Manns to tell us THAT - or the taxes !

  • @marvinc999 But based upon research and proper data analysis, we can make pretty good predictions. "Lord" Monckton is not a scientist. He is a politician. He has no expertise in the area of climate. What he is doing is stating figures, where are his references? He is correlating data to make it seem like the figures back him up, but they don't. Look at his other talks, we wrote a paper on him recently, the guy is a joke claiming scientific knowledge when clearly he doesn't have a clue.

  • @brianoc10

No expertise - are you serious ? The fact that he doesn't clutch some piece of paper in his paws with 'BSc' on it is nothing to the issue. Monckton may not be a 'scientist', but he DOES have a scientific brain - sharp enough to spot the errors in the first Assessment Report of the IPCC ! That's ALL that matters.

As to 'references', he cites cartloads of them in 'Apocalypse - No !'. And in his writing.

Why not drop him a line ?

Or ask Dick Lindzen about 'experts' !

  • Yes, the most significant climate change is happening at the same time that people are pumping the environment with masses of pollution... But hey, lets ignore the all the scientific bodies that say climate change is effected by humans, stick our heads in the sand and pray the farms don't run out of food

  • @S0undBite

CO2 is not 'pollution' (which SHOULD be tackled - and vigorously).

    Just ask the plants !

Rather than focussing on harmless human (CO2-producing) activities (and farting cattle), the clueless Greens would be better advised to concentrate on the REAL enemy: the unspeakable corporate greed and activities of entities like Monsanto - and the politicians (and 'activists') they fund.

AGW is a monstrous deception - and diversion.

In fact, it's an absolute classic of its kind.

  • Well he changes the topic to random facts, apparently only the last 20 years we have effected the climate, I guess 100 years ago when there was an industrial revolution that had no effect. Cities were smogged out because of the amount of burning coal. This guy is a hack, some one please shut him up.

I think he should be given a job bagging groceries.

  • @MadScienceVernon He's just a character created by Sacha Baron Cohen...

  • Well he changes the topic to random facts, apparently only the last 20 years we have effected the climate, I guess 100 years ago when there was an industrial revolution that had no effect. • He's a great man

  • Here is an example I just found: "The Hockey Stick vs. Ice Core Data" look it up on youtube. Not my video, just a suggestion.

  • I love how Monckton takes people apart, and attempts to put them back together gently. Being ignorant is much too convenient for an alarmist who has no time to look at facts, but has plenty of time to be amongst others like herself. There must be free food or something. Maybe hotdogs...

Years ago they had a report on glacier core samples that indicated how high and how low temperatures vary. There was a pattern. It'll get hotter, and then we will have an ice age. It's inevitable.

  • @DysphemisticOptimist i wonder if you are aware of what's going on in the sky? see

    KillerSpray [] com

  • How do you know that the Earth is round? How do you know that humans evolved? ‘Have you yourself ever checked the scientific literature directly?’ The message: unless you have all the facts yourself, go home, watch TV, and dream about your next vehicle purchase.

  • I never heard of this guy before but I like him!

  • I am so embarrassed for this woman. She's a dumb kraut, I can tell by her accent.

  • Greenpeace is an ecofascist terror organization with a clearly biased and corrupt agenda that has been handed to them by direct descendants of the Huxleys who worked in close association with the Darwins and Rockefellers across several generations to implement a eugenics program to forcefully reduce the world population. The myth of climate change is a basis for global population reduction. Look up, Oliver Tickell and his family tree, Kyoto 2, Julian Huxley's family tree, Darwin and eugenics.

  • Why don't these thick-skulled useful idiots just come out and say it once and for all: "We don't really care about the facts, what we want to do is change the world in our image as ordered by our materialist masters who have promised us a future of peace, love, and brotherhood (sorry, 'personhood')”?

Whatever happened to woman like Hanna Reitsch, and Emily Hobhouse? My God how we have fallen!!! Now we have idiots like this one in the video and so-called intellectuals like Nadine Gordimer!

  • at least the woman tried to defend her view with real arguments and didnt storm off or call monckton names.

That my friends, is the first step to genuine science. Eventually if she is confronted with enough evidence against her belief, and has an objective view on the topic she will reverse her beliefs based on facts.

  • @rustyscrapper I admire your faith in her ability to (maybe) see 'the light'. As for me, I suspect she's brain dead, and dead is ... well, dead. I've seen far too many baby-boomers (i.e. aged 60+) who still hang on the same nonsense they believed in 40 years ago! Anyway, hope you are right!

  • @Matthysable Agreed, i have noticed the same thing too and I think I know why. IF these baby boomers, who are well into their 60s now, were to re-evaluate that nonsense they have believed in their whole life and admit that it is in fact nonsense then it would mean that their entire life has been a lie! They have waaaay to much invested in the nonsense now and therefore they will take the nonsense to the grave with them, kicking and screaming. Hey, all you need is love, right?

  • Notice how she struggles against her brainwashing and can't make herself accept truth. Her masters have conditioned her for life, she will never overcome her faith in the only religion she has. These people are without critical thought, i once convinced a whole group of them that global warming on Mars and Pluto was George Bush's fault. If they are not mental defectives then no one is.

  • Most Ironic thing was, this meeting was held in Denmark, the coldest winter since the mid 90's.

As far as I remember now, it was freezing from 0 to -10 degrees for almost 3 months straight. Coldest winter I can remember ....

  • i have no idea, why he said "thank you very much" in german ("vielen dank") at the end. is this term also known or used in the states just like "gesundheit"?

  • @tazzle87 Vielen dank is german... apparently he just didn't know anything danish to say. The danish term for "Thank you very much", would be "Mange tak", ie. "Many thanks"

  • Go my Lord!!!!!

  • arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/

    arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/IMAGES/seasonal.extent.1900-2007.jpg

Comparing the annual sea ice extent in 1975, at nearly 13 million km^2, to the annual sea ice extent in 2005, at just over 11.5 million km^2, we find the total change in extent to be very close to 1.2 or 1.3 million km^2. In other words, annual sea ice extent has decreased by nearly TEN PERCENT in 30 years (probably more now). That IS NOT 'almost no change' as Monckton put it.

  • @PatMende He said TOTAL out of Arctic AND Antarctic. It melts in one area and gains in anothr. You are full of Shit. And as far as I can see, the websites you quoted don't exist.

  • @AnthosHero

And you know that moving icecaps (as opposed to melting) are not a problem for our ecosystems and livelihoods how?

Polar caps are temperature regulators for the ocean currents that sweep by them. If one ice cap is melting, only to grow on the other side of the planet, can you conceivably see how that would create a problem?

  • @PatMende Sorry I just saw that site, but it does only show the data from the arctic. If you look at combined data (North and South Poles) then it stays relatively the same.

  • @PatMende Oh really, have you been there and checked?

  • I think Monckton is a gentleman, there is nothing wrong with being stern and factual, and I appreciate the lady's belief in a better world, her heart is in the right place even if she is misinformed. I really like how he was so kind to her at the end, he's a good man. :)

  • @rdru00001 Yea, I agree, her heart's in the right place and Mockton is a gentleman

  • @rdru00001

Yes, thank God we have a kindly rich gentleman like Lord Monkcton to perform that most ancient act of aristocratic duty: leadership and duty. He is saving us from hordes of riff raff scientists, most of whom do not come from a glorious tradition of nobility or have REAL titles; not PhDs or M Scs but LORDS and DUKES dear boy. THESE are the people we need to trust our future to, not filthy commoners without proper breeding. God save the Queen and God save hereditary privilege!

  • @stonem001 just because he is rich or a lord does not mean he is not qualified or able to conduct research. Are you saying that if someone is not a lord they are able to research global warming?

  • @stonem001 Classic example of not listening to any of the many valid points and instead pointing out that Lord Monckton is well off. What would you have him do? You're apparently the authority on righteousness; so what would you have him do? Donate all his money to charity and live on the streets lol? The world is not heating so fast, even if it is who cares? Get over it this will all be forgotten soon enough.

  • I haven't heard ONE climate change advocate speak as straight forward or sensibly as this bloke. If hes wrong and mental and all the rest of it, it should be easy to shut him down by matching his tone and aided with scientific evidence and simple facts. As yet, I've seen none. So he continues!

  • Never mind the facts. This is a crisis! Stop wasting time with data and analysis, just panic now. Quick hurry.

  • @rickthescot

What can I do. We need to spend spend spend money on any program that can stop the sky from falling. Hurry up Governments and tax the shit out of me.

  • Monckton is full of it.

    Full of reason and logic!

  • @Fidokrab He picks his facts and never presents the whole story.

  • @Fidokrab :D

  • @Fidokrab he's really not a Lord at all, he doesnt vote, doesnt sit in parliament. He is a Lord only in title because of his birth right.

  • The global warming freaks are a cult and most of them don't even know it.

  • @crutmauler

I know and the minute you start to disect their arguement they become insulting and abusive.

  • I always assumed that Monckton was employed by Greenpeace, or Ted Turner, to make Global Warming sceptics look like maniacs, I had no idea that anyone took him seriously.

To be honest, you could probably present an oil drum full of dog-sick as a 'global warming sceptic' and half of the online conspiracy crowd would buy it's book.

    Cyberbalkanisation eh?

  • The woman has the religion and word of the Holy Church of Greenpeace, but Monckton has facts.

  • Im frustrated. Biased research and manipulation on both sides of this whole damned thing. I cant honestly know what to believe, but you can bet your life that everyone in a similarly vulnerable position (general public), will be systematically exploited (with more free market BS) by whomever controls the spread of socioeconomic capital in the acedemic/scientific/political fields...

Whether anything is warming or not!

If research funding wasn't so f'ing prejudiced, we wouldn't have this problem

  • what the hell has killing animals to do with climate change?greenpeace should never have got involved in the climate hoax and stuck to saving whales etc.

  • @bigfist255

Carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases not only contribute to the warming of oceans, but acidifies them. I don't see many scientists refuting the fact that organisms occupy niches which only allow them to survive under certain conditions of temperature, pH, salinity, etc... In fact, shellfish are having trouble forming calcium shells due to the acidification of oceans. Once this runs up the food chain, you have a real problem.

  • It's not only a matter of warming or cooling, it's a matter of climate change as a whole. GreenPeace's organization not only campains against Global Warming, it's against different kinds of effects us as humans have on the environment. We are killing so much life on this planet. We as humans effect the climate and effect lives of other beings.

  • I just love Christopher Monkton, what a scholar and a gentleman! May the Lord Jesus Christ bless him and his family!

  • @Serge1965 Hes working for Christ...theres no doubt ;)

  • @tiarnan76 Don,t know about that but he sure hates stinkin' lies though! : )

  • You shoet sighted amarican fools, most of monctons comments in this joke of a video are based on discredible science or the twisting of truths. moncton just confuses people untill they agree. so i guess it worked for you ASS HOLE.
