Weather Jesus was real or not is open to debate. All of what was written about him was done through 2nd or 3rd or 4th hand knowledge. There is no historical evidence that provides any support that Jesus the man, ever truly existed other than these accounts.

Its important to keep the economy expanding until we begin reach technological singularity (another 50 years maybe, some say 15) and when we start to transform from a type 0 to a type 1 civilization, you will see the need for "currency" begin to disappear. If you dont have enough money to go around (300,000,000 people today in the US, remember) Your 3$ would be worth a hell of alot more today then it was in 1913, and less people would have access to it. The expansion also helps to balance economic and political power.

The problem is that the Capitalistic principals that give the currency value have been flushed in exchange for a government run multi-contributor environment. The economy has compression that all business's profit, and suffer from. The problem is that when govt. creates a vacuum in an industry by providing services, then runs out of money due to market compression, jobs are lost that cant be replaced as well as services.
