Ooooh, the things I hate most are his Phantom Swords and Round Trip. Without them, SS ranking him would be a piece of cake.

Wtfisit25 has a point, he seems strangely un-aggressive, as this guy was nearly unblockable on normal and never let me hit him like more than 3 times in a row, it was really annoying.

@NoobOnTheCob it's because the areal hits don't push Vergil far away. And if you look right, vergil always throw a punch when he recovers to shock and get the advantage, but this guy actually manage to always be a little bit in retreat and send rockets. Vergil is definitely not un-aggressive in DMD :).

I just picked up DMC 1 today, and I found out you can't replay missions a second time unless you start a new game. Can you replay missions whenever you want in DMC3?

yep u can play a mission as many times as u want on any mode say u like mission 13 on hard u can play that 1 over and over

Right after hitting Vergil, maybe a split second later, you hit the jump button again. Just jump as long as you're physically touching the enemy and as long as you've hit him, of course.

Don't hit it too early: It's very well possible to actually start the rebound BEFORE the hit connects.

When you do an air attack, press the jump button while the attack is touching the enemy. That will make you jump off of the enemy and be ready to attack again. For example, Beowulf's Killer Bee dive kick. After you use it, Dante's foot will be touching Vergil for a split second. That's when you press jump. Just don't press it too early or you will jump before the actual hit occurs.

by holding (standard button) L1. the orbs will turn red, then you can release L1 for insane dmg.

Yup, that's been about my progress for the past year, to be honest. I have all of VH done, and everything below it. But it aren't even 0 damage SS runs. xD

Nope. I probably won't until I regain some interest in the game. I could do more than just mission 1, 2 and 6, though. 8 should be well in my grasp, along with a few others.

I'd do it, if it weren't frustrating. I believe it has the difficulty (and thus the requirements) of Medium, but the enemies give even less orbs than on Easy...

I'm not sure, though. I still have a more recent DMC1 Normal SB run lying around and a DMC1 DMD! SB run to finish...
