Wasn't Rod Serling slated to do the In search of series before Leonard Nimoy? Do you know; did he die before the series started?

He was scheduled to do the show before Nimoy, but ended up passing away before they got the production for the series started.

Nimoy was incredibly popular at the time due to his role on StarTrek, so they chose him to take Serling's place.

Really glad that Nimoy got this as his voice and presence were perfect for this. Listening to Rod Serling can be a little dry at times. Nimoy rules!!!!
